Tomorrow never comes..

Often we read threads "How can I" it can be about numerous different things, and people spend time answering them.

But, then the person goes on a rant that nobody helps them. If only I could do this or that, or whatever I could be successful.

They see the advice they need to turn things around, and they say I know what I need to do tomorrow.

Tomorrow never comes, the time for action is now.

Why do you think that seeing something today, will be better to take action tomorrow?

If you can't take action today, why do you think you will change and do it tomorrow?

Tomorrow never comes

Great advice Bev! Taking action is the determining factor of business success, but it's especially relevant to Internet marketers since there's so much addictive stuff online to distract us and tempt us to say: "I'll do this tomorrow."

While we're on this subject, I've found Robert Ringer's book: "Action!: Nothing Happens Until Something Moves" to be an absolute inspiration, and you can pick it up on Amazon for $20. I also loved his book on overcoming intimidation.

    Thanks again & take care,
    XC

We should stop whining and take control of the situation. Ranting is therapeutic in a way but once it becomes habit, it'll be a huge time waster.

I agree, let's not wait for tomorrow.

Well, I'm not sure I 100% agree with this.

I make a to do list every night before I go to bed for all the things that I
have to do the next day...and I do them.

Tomorrow can come if we simply discipline ourselves to keep our word and
      truly do it tomorrow.

After all, not everything can be done in a day.

Many projects take months to build - especially if you are new.

Sometimes it can take days of learning and planning with no monetary results for weeks. Things don't come overnight.
You may feel that these steps are not "action".

But if you have your goal clear in mind and you take steps toward it everyday, then you will get there.

It won't be today or even tomorrow but you will get there.
Don't beat yourself up - keep taking the steps you need - keep learning.

Now - shall I hit the submit key ...

... or leave it till tomorrow ...

        ummm ...

        LETS DO IT !!

        .. hit it

Did you actually read the OP or did you miss the whole point of it?

Very well said Bev This is an area I've had to work on myself recently, I would have a specific task or strategy I wanted to implement, and I would keep telling myself I would do it tomorrow, or in a few days, or next week. I've improved this a lot now though. I was getting frustrated with my results, and it dawned on me that I have no right be unhappy with the results I'm getting if I'm not putting 100% effort into achieving them.

Yes Bev, I did read it.

I guess I just didn't get the point.

Quite possible since I just lost my mother and am not in the best frame of
          mind these days.

No offense was meant. I agree that people have to get off their backsides
and do something. I also believe that sometimes when people say they'll do
          it tomorrow, they mean it.

I guess I just didn't understand your point.

Some thing have to wait till "tomarrow" and that is one reason there a nice frame around your computer screen, - so you can stick paste-up notes there to remind you what you need to do when. Bet you didn't know that....... ha.

Yeah, procrastination can be funny. But I really struggled with this in the past. When I quit my job I spent months trying to get things done. I couldn't even bring myself to do a single line of code on my editor. When I tried to work I felt I was climbing Mount Everest.

Eventually it went away and I got productive but it was really, really painful.

You mean like the times I say to my missus..

"You really should throw some of those shoes out!" (thousands of pounds worth of shoes that never see daylight!!!!!!!!!)

    and she says:

    "I'll sort through them tomorrow..."..

I so hear you on this one Bev!! for some people..tomorrow never comes. On the other hand, it only takes a bit of action to bring tomorrow around!

    Peace

That's pretty much what I was trying to say, but I guess I just didn't
      say it the right way.

Anyway, this isn't important enough for me right now to argue about.

Sorry if I offended anybody by not understanding the OP.

I'm going back to doing something productive.

Steven let me explain it again.

Person A comes onto the forum, and says I need help, "How to do this, how to do that, etc"

The complain that nobody will help them, they complain that they can't get anything done. That's the rant part from them.

They then start another thread, or post in a thread how they have found the answer to their problem, and they will take action tomorrow.

Tomorrow comes and they start the cycle again. In other words tomorrow never comes for them. They can't take action today, it is always tomorrow.

Nothing to do with some jobs which take time.

I did say they will take action tomorrow, they rarely do, because when tomorrow is today, they find another excuse and then say tomorrow they will take action.

So - today is the tomorrow I worried about yesterday.

I've been guilty of this myself many times (haven't we all?). Will spend the day learning something new or planning a new project and have every intention to do it - tomorrow.

I think for new people especially, the excitement of planning wears off overnight and the good idea from yesterday doesn't seem so good so they move to the next "good idea". Best to do it now while you're thinking about it - and before you talk yourself out of it.
