Hi guys,

Do you consider Yahoo Answers subscribers' list are real targeted prospects in your niche?!

I suppose yes they are targetted, because they are asking
questions and you are answering their questions and pointing
    them to your mailing list.

I mainly use Yahoo Answers for instant traffic and residual
    Search Engine traffic.

The only issue with YahooAnswers! is the following:

Since it's a great traffic building strategy, there are loads of freelancers pointing and answering on behalf of Internet Marketers, so you will see loads of 'pre-set' questions and they already know which answer they'll choose as the best one.

I noticed it lately as I was posting there frequently - lots of obviously common-sense answers etc.

      Rgds,

      Robert

I think they can definitely be good leads IF they've asked multiple questions on the same topic.

Say you have someone on your list who has asked 20 questions on the "training my dog" topic.

I'd say they're as primed as ever for a promotion related to dog training.

You can actually segment your list based upon the types of questions that they are asking to get the most from a promotion.

But the beauty of it is - it stays forever.

The answers remain in Yahoo database and people use it as a knowledge base. Especially if you have many best answers you have a very good exposure.

One of my affiliate websites still receives about 15 visitors daily from Yahoo Answers although I had only around 20 best answers on that topic!

So it definitely is a long-term traffic strategy as opposed to forum posting where the posts get buried.

Yahoo Answers has changed quite a bit and its not as easy as it use to be to find topics that are still open. They shut them down pretty quickly and they don't allow you to place links to your product/service in your profile. If you do, you will get deleted.
