Hi Guys,

As we know flippa is great auction site with hugh traffic
is this good to list new site on flippa just for generate traffic..?
I mean will get great traffic even my site not sold...

WHat do you thing?

    you list a website to sell it on flippa. Not for traffic. If you want just to increase number of views, try something else. You will get some traffic from flippa, but the best thing is that they are all looking to buy websites, so it`s very targeted in terms of traffic.

        I received around 350 visits and 50 signups to the website but the traffic really didn't convert that well into paying customers.

    I have a website put on sale 2 times on flippa, once in 2012 and once in 2013. I only received 130 visitors from them. With the amount you pay you can buy 500 targeted visitors from adsense.

    It is really bad idea.

    You can get visitors but none of them area going to be interested in buying ( because the site for sale they simply investigate it ). You also risking attracting people in the site flipping business who may replicate your site and sell it.

    If you really want traffic from Flippa, they got classified section ( if you provide a service that target people in this business ).

    I also would like to remind you listing a site on Flippa will reduce its future value ( since people can see the relisting ) and a violation on Flippa TOS.

    Flippa can be used to promote a business but not in the way you describe.

    You can for instance sell websites and then offer additional services to the buyers of your sites in the backend.

    too much to list, if you want to spam domain selling sites, dnforum has a minor one time or yearly fee to list stuff

    so you can list lots of domains for one fee

    that might be cost effective

    but the numbers from such a plan are minor

    you can do a million other things for traffic rather than list on domain selling sites/forums

      Although Flippa does get good traffic, buyers there are looking to buy sites, and not products from website owners. For that reason, I would only recommend using Flippa if you actually want to sell a site. (I've done so successfully, so I know it is a good platform for that purpose).

      If you just want to get traffic to a site, and you've got money to spend, I recommend that you spend it on a targeted Facebook PPC campaign, or a PPC campaign through Google or Bing.

      If you don't want to spend as much banner networks can also work quite well, if you look at advertising on the right sites.
