Best Domain Structure for List Building?

Hi All,

I'm just getting into List Building and have a few ideas which I'm going to get done.

I have a few questions to hopefully make my transition into list building as smooth as possible.

1 - I'm hoping to do multiple different email courses to build my list. Is it best to buy myself a domain thats personal to me, and then put my different squeeze pages on subdomains e.g:

squeezecourse1.myname.com
squeezecourse2.myname.com

2 - Or is it better to have each of my courses on their own domain:

squeezecourse1.com
squeezecourse2.com

I'm asking as I don't want to limit myself due to a domain name !

Each course will be separate, and probably in separate niches.
So my idea was that I could get myself a personal domain, and just run multiple courses to hopefully gain subscribers. I could then perhaps use my domain to blog about my experiences etc?

Thanks

I don't think there's an objective "right answer" to this.

    Either can work perfectly well.

Personally, I always prefer to have anything to do with separate niches on separate domains. But I say that as someone who uses a different pen-name in each niche specifically in order to "keep them apart" and not let anyone associate me with multiple different niches, so I'm bound to think that, whereas you might not agree?

If you want the emphasis to be on branding your own name, it might serve you better to do it all on one domain, using subdomains or folders? I think it just depends on exactly what you're trying to achieve, in the long run.
