Need help want different Blogroll with more pages?

My site is going to be full of many different categories.

So I don't want all my articles rolled onto the front page. How do I change it so I can have certain posts (Articles) for specific pages?

    then make static page

    to a page or a post about what the theme of the site is

    so front door shows one post or page only

    then people navigate to latest posts or search or use category pages

    most blog traffic hits an inside page anyway

    people search on goog/bing/yah

    see a blog page and go

    then on the page if they like the info they may search the blog or go to nav pages or look around

    it's why search box is top of widget area, then recent posts then categories with pages to navigate on top

    once you understand a real blog nav layout, it's not that hard to steer new users around
