Ebook Finding a Writer Advice?

Hello All

I was wondering if anyone knows how to find a good writer for ebooks? I have some ideas that are quite niche and would like to give it a go, can ebooks make money if they are good enough, can they be sold on click bank?

    I've used Elance, Guru and local resources. I've heard there are writers here but I'm not sure which forum category you look for them in.

    I always get references and more important ask for samples in the area I want them to write in.
    Start with a small project to 'test' how they will work with you.
    Work varies but so far most of the time I've been happy with the results.

    Also, I"ve found that the more I think the project through and give them details and examples of how I want it to sound, tone wise, slant, etc. the better results I get.

    new2ebiz makes some great points.

    As an ebook writer I can tell you that the more information you can share related to what you want - what the final product should be - the closer I can come to creating that. Also, you and the writer should communicate often on the progress of the project. The writer should share the first 10 -15 pages before continuing. That will provide you an opportunity to approve or make changes in the style, etc. of the writing.

    Ebooks can be an excellent source of income, but keep in mind that even a great ebook will bring in little profit without proper promotion/exposure.

    Many freelance and content creation sites will offer this. You may need to contact them as they don't all sell it through their main site.

    The other option is to re-write an existing ebook in your niche.

      Thank you all for your help, I think I have a better direction, I have my own website on google that ranks number 1 for my keyword so I am hoping to offer the ebook that way and also through other channels that I have learnt
