Wordpress Theme with Amazon Associate

Hey guys,

im new to this forum and would like to learn a bit and help also with my strength and skills here. I search for a wordpress theme that works really good with amazon affiliate links, as i want to write about products and would like to put always a banner or image and the current amazon price in the right sidebar - do you know a perfect theme that could match these? I heard about the Fresh Life Theme, does this support this from the beginning?

Im from germany - ive seen an interesting amazon plugin on this website here - for example: Vergleich: Acer Aspire Switch 10 vs. Asus Transformer Book T100

Does anybody know how this can be made under the posting and in the colours and so on?

As im very good in gaming and so on, i want to write a lot about some items and will also display the current game or product in the right sidebar or like they did in theme on tabtech. Best would be if i only need to put in the Amazon ASIN so that will appear directly.

Anybody has an idea for that?

  • N1tro, there are just way too many scripts and plugins to name that do what you're looking for. There's even several scripts that makes your own Amazon like site automatically displaying their products that you can customize..

I only wonder if you really want to start out that route as Amazon takes a long time to pay affiliates?!

Can you tell me some of the best scripts that i can use? I found EasyAzon, but this cant display amazon ads in the sidebar. I think Amazon is the best converting here - many trust them and so on...thats why i want to use amazon on that blog also.

    Any idea for special plugins?

Try this one the Affiliate Easel for Amazon as I once built a whole Amazon based site using it ALONe (just got to be creative) plus it's free found right within the Wp Plugin search...

If you still can't get your sidebars like you want just use Amazon associates own affiliate ad designer within their system as it can be greatly customized to fit your sidebar

Amazon is a good choice. For a plugin have a look at Amazon Simple Admin. Although amazon works best with in-content links.

    Hm,

the affiliate easel is not good for me - as it cant show any information on a single post for a amazon product. Also i downloaded now the Freshlife Theme, but there is also no chance to insert always a different amazon product in the sidebar of a post. Where can i find something? Also what is the Amazon Associates Affiliate Ad Designer? Where to find that?

Yep that theme will only show the same thing in sidebar on every page, you may need some custom coding to do what you want. Never herd of the affiliate ad designer before.

Log into your Amazon associates account and you will see many options for displaying ads just the way you want. Once you have some you like Amazon will spit out a code that you just insert into a simple text sidebar widget.

i really cant understand why that is such a problem. I only need to insert manually on every post an amazon product that should appear on the sidebar on the right or left - why is that such a problem?

yeah...but on this way i cant figure out a special product for every post site?!

It needs to be like that - i need to put in an ASIN or something and then an Amazon Box with Price and so on will appear on the Articles Sidebar - why is that such a problem?

Easy Azon can do links. Amasuite can research keywords, get ASINs sorted for you.
There are a couple of free plugins, but I have no idea how they perform.
      https://wordpress.org/plugins/tags/asin
      https://wordpress.org/plugins/amazonjs/
      etc..

I second ClickBump recommendation. I wrote about affiliate themes about a few weeks back, but you may find a lot more recommendations in Google.

I suggest you visit with Scott Blanchard, the owner of the ClickBump Engine Theme, and find out what he recommends, or if Clickbump can do what you want.

I know Scott has a couple themes for creating Amazon affiliate sites, and his stuff is always rock solid.

    Hi N1tro,

Amazon theme wise I suggest any of the PlanetStarta.com Amazon themes and plugins. One thing you should consider is making sure the theme and plugins you choose are coded by a skilled developer and PlanetStarta does it perfectly. Very important!

Also make sure the theme is already optimized for SEO and the theme developer recommends an SEO plugin.

Since you will be personally writing the articles for your site and linking to Amazon products you should consider that the links are sort of "endorsements" and you should consider actually testing the products yourself. There are lots of Amazon sites that actually test "featured products" and do very well in terms of profit.

    Jeffery 100% :-)
