Selling $700k on eBay, problems with amazon...

So I do pretty well on eBay. Over $700,000 a year in sales, all In a very specialized niche. I have an amazon account, but got banned because of my mistakes 3 years ago. I was doing drop shipping, but my drop shipper went out of business and I got a ton of negatives and they banned my seller account. I tried to appeal it but that got denied as well.

A year later, my employer wanted to sell on amazon, so I made a new account and got them going. About 2 weeks later they banned that account too, because they said I was the same person that got banned a year before. I assume they noticed both IPs were the same.

Flash forward another year and someone from amazon contacted my employer and asked it we wanted to get on amazon. I explained how we had been banned, and he got it lifted. However, my account is still banned.

I want to sell my stuff on amazon and not through my employer account. I was thinking of getting a separate computer, use a VPN, and make a new account. Bad idea? Or another avenue I should go?

So how do I sell on amazon?

If they don't want you selling then it's always going to be risky doing so as they could turn around at any time and freeze your profits.

Obviously the best way would be to have a completely different and separate person set it all up and 'run' that side of your business.

Yea, thinking about this more I do believe that this is the best path. I have a neighbor that does some work with me, so I'll pursue this angle. Thanks for the tip!

How would that help the OP (and address their question), rather than you?

OP, I'd explore other avenues and I wouldn't take the risk. You might be able to operate for a while but I wouldn't be banking many eggs into it.

Amazon approved me to sell jewelry a couple of years ago.
I tried for months to put up my stuff working with their people and while charging me $29.95 all the time.

Then I was told I was never approved to sell jewelry.
I sent them the approval email that they sent me.

They then had the gull to tell me that that email was meant for someone else.

They then completely banned me from selling anything.

I know people who make good money with them, that is un-disputable.

But it seems like they have some issues.

At $700,000 a year on ebay, I would say you are doing great.

    Congratulations.

Look at it as a blessing in disguise. Here is the thing, if you are selling 700K of a particular niche and have good margins, all Amazon would do is cherry pick your profits by backdooring you to the manufacturer on your best selling products and leave you out in the cold. Continue with eBay and consider using Buy.com as another outlet.

Why not just use ebay and amazon to collect leads, and then start your own website, selling their products from there.
