IMHO I only go to amazon to buy new stuff, however, people do buy used items on there. I would suggest Craig list or ebay for used items though

I believe there are some good WSO about selling books on amazon, that would be the first place to start if you can write or outsource writing..

Greater number of product reviews on Amazon = higher search rank. So when you're ready for real, professional reviews (or even if you're just ready for a totally free review right now, to see how it works) feel free to contact me or see the offer here: ReviewGnome | Get Rid of Negative Reviews

I'm not sure if you mean listing items on Amazon or trying to make affiliate commissions selling items already on Amazon. So, I'll address both...

If you're looking to list items on Amazon, you should read this-
Get started selling online with Amazon

If you're trying to make money as an Amazon affiliate, well, unless you have a ton a products selling every month, don't expect much. The percentage you make as an affiliate, is very small.

      Take a look here-
      https://affiliate-program.amazon.com...pensation.html

If you still want to pursue that, I recommend setting up a "review site" and giving lots of helpful information (benefits) to would be customers. If you're not keen on blogging (aka writing the reviews), you could also do video reviews on YouTube to drive traffic.

Either way, you'll need to learn a bit of search engine optimization to get traffic to your site (and to your amazon link).

If you're not familiar with this stuff, it may be in your best interest to check out some other products to sell with higher commission payouts (lots of info products online with 50% - 100% commissions). That way, you're making the best use of your time.

That's my 2 cents. Hope it helps.
