For you, which of these stands out the most?

The rules: you can pick as many as you like, and you can even suggestion your own.

The question: if I have a (generic) product that I want you to buy, and I'm describing it as a(n):

blueprint
e-book
e-course
formula
method
offer
package
plan
program
recipe
strategy
system
technique

which of those words would strike you as making the product the most valuable?

    "plan" and "technique" would catch my eye - but I think you left one off -

    blueprint

    It's hard to say, because it depends what I'm looking for, and I am not referring to 'value'.

    'E-Book' sounds easy, E-Course sounds like a lot of work/a serious investment. Both could have the 'same' amount of value, just depends what I am looking for. If I just want something that I can go over in a couple hours, I'd go for an e-book. If I wanted a step by step plan, that might take a week or so, probably an "e-course".

    Blueprint sounds cheap. Method, no connotation. Package -- means several products together. Plan -- sounds like a 'weak' blueprint. Program -- sounds a bit like an e-course, but 'less' work. System, sounds like everything is done for me. And technique sounds like a quick ($1) tip.

    I agree with Mubarak. It depends on what kind of products your market have been exposed to and whether those products worked for them. I like "formula".

    I totally concur with Tyrus. I like "formula" as well, because it implies a method but is not too specific to make me feel trapped or bound to only one way of completing the process. But I must also hasten to add that I also concur with Johnathan, that it depends on the product and what that market responds to.

    Great question!

    I like "formula, method and blueprint." It makes it sounds like you've been doing w/e it is for a long time and have figured out the INs and OUTs of it. Therefore, people will pay attention to you.

  • I definitely agree that system is a bit overplayed, specially by TV Infomercial guys trying to sell bizops. I would avoid using that.

    I think blueprint and formula are the best.

    Technique, program, and method seem sketchy or "hypey"

    Just my opinion.

    Cheers,

    Anyone tried "mechanism"? I like the implication that it's a machine - complicated to build, but easy to operate.

    For me, personally:

    Blueprint signifies "easy, step by step" so if it's a topic I'm not familiar with, this would motivate me to purchase it. If I am looking for a more advanced guide, blueprint wouldn't work its magic on me in the same way.

    E-Course: Makes me think "delayed content", and I don't usually have that much patience LOL

    Formula: One of my favorites.. I use this quite a bit myself.

    Package: This means that there better be more offered than just an ebook.. Bundled packages, kits, etc.

    I also like "Strategy" and "Action Plan".

      I just increased conversions by changing 'e-book' to 'step-by-step guide'.

    From a quick overview seems like everyone trends to system is overused and formula or blueprint they would rather hear. In this case I'm going with blueprint.

    How about 'Training' that could be Easy, Intermediate, Advanced, progressive....training of some sort. Those work for me they imply that I will learn something and be better at it by the end of the course.

    blueprint = I don't know what I'm actually getting. Cant vote for this one.
    e-book = Straight forward, but overdone, I've been disappointed by too many ebooks to vote for this one.
    e-course = I like this more than e-book, but I would be disappointed if it really wasn't a "course", could be misleading. An ebook could always be structured more like a course, would need some video or interaction.
    formula = *Inner dialog* /sarcasm Really a formula? Like some magical math formula for success?
    method = I kinda like method, but not really.
    offer = Just no.
    package = A package, hmm, this is a bunch of things?
    plan = I kinda like plan.
    program = Program, if your going to call it a program, it better be robust. Otherwise I like it.
    recipe= Just no.
    strategy = I think this is a winner, its not as presumptuous as some of the others. Pretty straight forward. It could be any format, I have no expectations as to what I'll find other than information. However is a bit infomercially (ya ya not a word).
    system = Scam
    technique = Almost scam like, but less than system.

    It's really hard to choose any of them without knowing more about your product.

    Blueprint is good - but a bit over cooked now

    Does roapmap or special formula fit the bill?

    How about 'code'? I've seen that one used a whole lot lately.

    For me though, as for a lot of people apparently, 'blueprint' is the winner, followed closely by 'step-by-step guide'... there's just something about step-by-step that makes me perk my ears.
