Hello WF,

I have an email list containing 100k emails, but it's all quite unorganised & some emails are incorrectly spelt, like examplegmail.com or example@gmailcom.. I would like to get all the incorrect emails binned & all the rest in format like this;

example@gmail.com;
example@gmail.com;
example@gmail.com;
example@gmail.com;
example@gmail.com;
example@gmail.com;

is there any software that offers this at all?

Thanks!

    You can actually do this in excel fairly easily, using the right functions. It's hard to give you the exact process since I don't know exactly what type of errors are in the list.

    I would start by putting them all in a single column and sorting them in ABC order. Check visually for obvious mistakes. Use the "find" function (ctrl+f) to look for mistakes.

    If you don't have excel, you can also use the free spreadsheet alternative program, it's called "calc" I think in the open office suite.

    Hope that helps.

    Sorry forgot to mention, all the emails are separated by a coma, other than that, there are emails that are just spelt incorrectly like examplegmail.com or example@gmailcom etc..

      In this case, you should be to easily import the list into excel, using the comma as the separating character. Once your list is in excel, you can use a couple formulas to search for characters that should be in each e-mail address (such as periods and "@" signs. Then you can delete the ones that don't contain those.

      If you're not familiar with excel formulas, this could be a bit confusing. May be easier to get someone to clean it up for you.

        Half my emails are like this example@gmail.com;example@gmail.com; example@gmail.com;example@gmail.com;example@gmail. com;

        & some are stacked like this

        example@gmail.com;
        example@gmail.com;
        example@gmail.com;

        ...

        When I put them all in excel half of them which are side by side stay side by side in the top 5 rows so actually thousand of emails are in 5 rows.

        & The other half of the emails are stacked in individual rows like they should be. How do I get the first half of emails stacked?

    I'm just going to say this and I hope this does not come out wrong...but if you didn't BUILD that list....then you don't have 100k list. Best bet is you have 30% of that (and that is still way to high)...Unless you bought those leads at $.20-$.50 per lead you most likely got junk.

    Now I'm only saying that ASSUMING you have that list for MMO purposes. You didn't specify that in your post so I'm sure. At any rate this may be a job for excel, your typing abilities, your eyesight, and your time to mange organizing those emails. I wouldn't trust software to do it.

      Thanks for the reply but no, my list is private & it took me 5 months to build it.
      I'm sure there is a tool out there that can do this, there must be

        Well if that's the case, and if you are making good money from this list.

        Then I would outsource this as a minor job on freelancer.com. Couldn't cost more than 20 bucks for someone to organized this for you.

          I intend to keep the list personal & not chance leaking it. If this is down to a formula then I would like to know it. Or as I originally said if theres any software out there which would do this, I'd like it lol

            Best bet.....take some time out and organize it yourself to how you like it in each column. Or (alternatively) you can always use ol trusty Google.

    how did you build it? if you actually had them opt in to a list then it would be connected to a professional autoresponder company and wouldnt need to be "organized" even if you wanted to change autoresponder companies and had to export the list.

    I highly suspect you didn't actually build a list and this is just scraped and you actually think you can spam them and make money

      I'd keep that list private too, if I collected them without people's consent. I don't know how you got the list, but I hope mine isn't in it. What you are asking sounds blackhat, and this is the wrong forum for that. You will find your answer on blackhat forums, don't waste your time here.

        Yeah exactly.

        "I don't know how you got the list, but I hope mine isn't in it."

        no need anyways 99% of the emails he sends trying to send the list wont even hit their inbox and will go straight to junk...

        I think its so moronic that people are actually wasting their time in this thread trying to help the little spammer...

        anyways goodluck buddy. Even though you will come back and deny all this and say you built the list etc. even if you do get the list organized I highly highly bet you will not make a single sale...not one sale.

      I took them from my website which a php script put a form into my text file. I then copied the emails individually for the first month or two into my windows live mail & sent them. Then copying them from there & just putting them into a txt file.

      After that I then had someone make me a script which put the emails stacked so I could easily paste them into the windows live mail & cut out the work of having to individually copy them.

      This is why I have a lot of emails side by side separated by comas.

      Now back to my question, how can I stack these emails in individual cells & delete any emails which are spelt incorrectly.

      1) wrong place to lace this thread for this question of yours.
      2) I don't believe you.
      3) We see these kinds of threads all the time and 99% they are from people trying to spam a list.

      I don't think you are being flamed, people are just skeptic that's all. When you ask sketchy questions, you get sketchy answers.

      You are telling us you collected 660+ emails a day, but not giving any details how. If you would have collected those the right way, you would be making money hand over fist, not here asking how to organize it

    I didn't realise that was a lot of emails.. I stumbled upon a niche & method of advertising it which has brought me between an average of probably 1500 to 2000 visitors a day to my site. I have no idea about marketing really, I just have a list which I have collected through a form on my website & the emails were inputted to a .txt file on my site also. I then manually sent them emails with a survey offer generating me a bit of profit.

    I now realise that I can re-market things to them now I've been looking into 'online marketing' & would like to do so. I could probably do it but it would take a long time to send emails to every one of my contacts.

    I'm looking for an efficient way to send emails to every person on my list. Whether I can import this into some kind of excel file or something like that I don't know.

    On a side note: I read above somewhere that 99% of my emails would go to the junk folder. Ignore the fact that I might have illegitimate emails or have obtained them through illegitimate purposes for a minute.. If the emails are truly collected by me & I have already sent them 1 email from my email address each. Will my emails go to their junk folder? Cause if they will then theres no point of me carrying on. I don't understand how people market things over email legitimately & then don't go to the junk folder.. The emails are mine & private to me for a certain niche, my emails shouldn't go to their junk folder right?

    yes the emails will go to junk folder or the 99% of them will. You must send visitors to a squeeze page and they can optin in to your list and an autoresponder company keeps the list for you to send emails to.

    If they optin into the list then they are wanting to receive emails and majority of them will hit the inbox instead of junk.

    You are at the mercy of the email providers... They scan them and place them where ever they choose. Your best bet would be to email those people, and have them optin to an auto-responder. Where the email was sent from, plays a big role in determining if they are placed in spam folders.

      Try Aweber or Getresponse, and you can find all kinds of squeeze pages on the net or here in the WF. You will need something to bribe them to opt in though, like a free ebook or something.

      600+ optins a day is alot dude, I would be kicking myself if I didn't get them to my auto-responder from the start

        Thanks & I'm not really bothered, I've made a lot of money on the way. Also don't have a clue what to do with the list other than experiment.

        Is there a specific email client I should use to send them all an email or anything really?

          I personally use Aweber but 100k list will cost you alot. I've never sent emails outside of Aweber, so have no idea how you can send out emails to all of them. I'm sure there are plenty of spam software out there, I just don't know of any.

          If I were you, I'd sign up for an auto-responder right away, and set it up on your capture page, before you collect another email.

            I have made an account & purchased Aweber. So this is how it works.. The user submits their info on my site, there redirected to a form from a weber where they input there name & email. Once they do that there redirected to a page on my site where it says please click the link in the email we sent you to receive your content. Then when they click the link in their email their redirected to a page where they get the content they want.

            Now I should be able to send my 'subscribers' whenever I want & the message won't go to their junk folder, correct?

              There is no guarantee it won't go into the spam older, it depends on what you send them, how many times you email them, but now you have proof they opted in. Your emails should go into their inbox now, but make sure you take care of your list, so people don't unsubscribe or report it as spam.

    I would highly highly recommend purchasing some sort of WSO offer that has a complete newbie to expert guide on list building.

    It's not often I tell someone to purchase a WSO (mostly because I think 75% of them hold little to no value) so look for a WSO that has some good reviews and such.

        I'm not 100% positive but I'm pretty sure you will have to have them optin and you cant just transfer that list into the autoresponder since they aren't confirmed.

        I know, like I said I don't have a clue about marketing I just started so that's why I've lost a 100k email list -.- lmfao.

        Another question though, why am I using aweber when I just did a test sign up to another website using icontact & you don't need to subscribe on the follow up email with them, it just says unsubscribe me in bold writing at the top of the email. Wouldn't this be a better option to reach a wider audience as you won't have people walking away because they have to log into their email & subscribe to the link?

          You can also do the single optin, where they don't have to log into their email to confirm, but you must have an unsubscribe link in the emails to comply with spam laws.
