squidoo lense ranking question

I made a lense to sell a clickbank product and linked to it, article marketed it and it now get s good daily traffic. It also ranks just over 2000 overall and just over #100 in its niche. Are those pretty good rankings for a newer lense? Just curious,thanks!

It really depends on the niche. Sometimes I have seen lenses that rank top 10 in days, and other times in the top 100 would be good. It really depends on the competition and the amount of effort that you have put into the lens. Usually with lenses, marketers tend to focus on more long tail phrases and less on very competitive phrases. They usually do this because long tail phrases convert better. Normally it is easier to create many lenses and get them to rank for long tail then it is to create one and build lots of links to it in order to get it to rank for competitive phrases.

If you're in the top 100 lenses in SEO or something like that--that's pretty good. But know that what gets lenses ranked high in Squidoo and what gets them ranked high on Google are two completely different animals. Is your lens showing on Google for the name of the product?

yeah i got alot of google traffic, not tons but enough to make me happy!!! It also has a 50% click out ratio for my affiliate link but barely any sales which stinks! It was an experiment but i did learn alot doing it
