Hi guys

There are a few sites which offers PC guidance, troublehooting tips and techy questions, there are forums, Free PC advice.. etc

I want to be able to set something like this up but my main concern would be the competition, how would I make my site stand out from the rest

Obviously the fact that there is lot of competition means there is a market for this

Please any suggestions would be much appreciated on how to make my site unique

Regards
Kishor

The best way to work out how to make your site stand out is to check out the competition looking for things they don't offer. That makes this a difficult question to answer therefore.

However a few possible ideas include:

    - Providing instructional videos - whereby you could also use YouTube as a promotional method

    - Providing simple javascript-based interactive troubleshooting guides - I think a lot of us would agree that the average PC trouble shooting guide isn't that good so this could be improved on

    - The ability to submit questions directly to you (rather than just in a forum) with a newsletter in which you publish specific answers

    - A Wiki where users can submit answers to tech problems

    - Consider the target market these existing sites are aiming for. Is there a gap in the market? Think about age groups, specific industries or niches (i.e. problems editing video, advanced Microsoft Office techniques etc.)

    All the best,
    Richard

Hi Rich.. very useful info, I like the idea about submitting questions to me rather than on a forum, this way they get a personal service....

      Thanks will start planning

The simple the better, that is what I think of a good site. Attractive easy excess and time efficient. So, that I can find what I am looking for. You do that with effective keyword to find, people will do promotion of your site on their will.
