I was just wondering.. If someone makes 1,000$ per month from his affiliate blog or whatever, why would he sell his website for 80$ on Flippa?
I can just buy websites from Flippa and make money from them?

Don't bet on it. They're most likely lying about the income. Any Flippa purchase requires you to do due diligence or risk getting ripped off. By all means, do not believe every ad you read, not only on Flippa, but anywhere.

If someone was making $1000 per month from the blog he was selling for $80 - Then I would be very wary of what they are telling you!

Anyone can drive traffic and clicks to adsense and take a screen shot of it. Did they actually get paid out for those clicks?

    He wouldn't.

If it seems to good to be true; it probably is!

Someone might make $1000 per month and sell for, say, $10k because they need a lump sum. But nobody would sell a website for less than it would make in just one month!

The obvious answer is that he wouldn't. There;s clearly no sense to it.
Did you see someone advertising a blog for sale on flippa, which is currently making $1000 a month with a buy it now price of $80?

The person definitely wouldn't sell a site making that much money for so little. Maybe his site was making that much money and now has tanked due to recent updates.

It is definitely too good to be true.

No one in their right mind trades a $1000 monthly income stream for $80, so I wouldn't believe that claim.

Instead, it seems like they are probably trying to sell you on the POTENTIAL that the site could make $1000.

If you're inexperienced with marketing a website, its probably best you stay away from these types of offers.

While you are wondering be aware that if it looks too good to be true, it probably is.

In most cases, people who sell their website multiply the monthly income by 4 to 12 month depending on the income volume or even more. This one is kind of weird.

Remember, *rough* rule of thumb is that a site is worth 10-12x revenue. If he was making $1000 per month, that site should fetch in the ballpark of $10k.

Usually these are sites that don't make any revenue. The sellers just "claim" that you can "easily" get to that point of revenue with some extra effort, which is of course not completely true.

    Simple answer -

They would not sell it. If they sold it for like $8k or so, then you can start thinking about if it is legitimate.

It's just a "POTENTIAL" income and not real. It has been dscussed several times here and flippa already prohbitrd listng auctons with "potential" earnings. Those guys who sell potentials are the real players. Do not deal with them.

I sure wish someone would sell a $1000 per month site for $80. If they had a lot of them for sale I would be filthy rich after just a few months.
