I'm working on the final touches of my marketplace to buy and sell websites, the problem is the database is empty and I can't see it's full functionality.

Instead of putting dummy information in, I would love to just hook you all up with a new area to list your site.

Thus, if you are currently selling a site or are planning to sell, shoot me a PM, and I will give you the link to list your site with us, that is if you want to... we have a decent system.

I have started my sites with a purpose of earning money but things becomes just opposite meaning I am expending on it but couldn't get the juice. But I am waiting to get something so that I can say I am successful. But I will keep u in mind so that in time of sale I can knock u.

Hey LMC, I'd be very interested in your marketplace when you have it up and running. I don't have any sites at the moment, because I stopped working on any over the last month or so due to Sitepoint's spiral into nothingness.

I've seen your posts around here about flipping and read your ebook, and was actually just wondering yesterday if you might be a contender to come in and do this thing properly. Lord knows Sitepoint isn't doing their job, Flippa looks like it is going to be a huge failure, and the gap for someone to provide a quality marketplace is wide open.

I'm curious, I've thought for a while that the number one problem with Sitepoint is that they do very little quality screening of both buyers and sellers. Will your marketplace have any improvements over Sitepoint in this regard?

Could you give us a bit more info on what your site will be like? What kind of sites can we sell? Fees involved? I think I read that it is free, surely you would want to charge some fees??

Will you have any sort of feedback system? Will you have any sort of 'claims' system for non-paying buyers -although if your listings are free I guess this isn't as big an issue.

I am always selling sites so I will be interested. Have some family issues at the moment though so I probably wont have any ready for the next week or 2.

Sorry guys for the delay, I was on a semi-vacation...

As of now the sites will be categorize by niche, and that is how they will sell, the system will be in full working by the end of this week and I will send all of you an email to have you guys check it out.

The system is free. Obviously with a free system, there are some limitations, so their is a review and rating system being put together, however, no buyer reputation etc...

One perk is we are giving sellers a contract to use that has been professionally written.

The reason we are doing it for free is that its almost like my small philanthropy, and to compete with the larger players already in our market place we need to use a different strategy.

Ours is, more simplicity, less difficulty.

I don't believe it's Sitepoints fault things aren't selling as well there. Most of it is the economy at the moment. BUT you're right about one thing - the gap in the market is wide open.

Btw, yeah, I didn't care for flippa either. SP should have left well enough alone while they were going strong.

Please do keep me updated. This couldn't come at a better time than when so many are unhappy with Flippa. I have sites that I want to sell that I've been holding onto because I hate Flippa.

I'm planning on coming out with a lot of turnkey sites and would surely list there. Also, since I have a buyers list I could email them when I do list and direct them to the auction site. Perhaps other sellers with a list could do the same to get some buyers in?

Well, you can, but it might be harder to get a buyer this way. Do you have a domain name? If so, PM me the name, I will link it to my server, and then you can update the nameservers and you will have hosting.

Hey mekap04,

I can't speak for LMC, and what he allows on his site, but you can sell sites like that by putting it in a directory folder or as a subdomain. They sell quite well. There are some people who prefer to get their own domain name. But you can get more money out each site if they had their own domain name.

Lol it sounds like I am double talking, but what I'm saying is that you can sell the sites like that cheaply, or get a domain, and almost double the value most of the time depending on the type of site.
