How do you put video in Powerpoint? Aaaagh!

Hi guys

Hope someone can advise/help here as this is driving me nuts!

I need to know how to put a video into my Powerpoint presentation.

I have an avi video to try to get in my presentation but I just cannot seem to get it to work.

Any (preferably step-by-step) advice would be greatly appreciated before I turn bald from pulling my hair out!

    This SHOULD be easy but I suppose it depends on what version of Powerpoint you're using. This is for 2003.

    The tutorial talks about wmv files but it works just as well for avi's.

    You should be able to click the insert button on the top menu. Then choose "movies and sounds" then "movie from file."

    You will have to save the video file to the folder you save the powerpoint in. If you don't keep it in that folder, the video will not show.

    Hi Roy,

    Pictures are better than a 1,000 words so how about a youtube video.

    Now with this video you will learn how to put a youtube video on powerpoint.

    PS. The video is put together by a kid. But don't let that fool you it is very easy to understand.
