Non-biased online business reviews / IM Report Card ... the truth ?

Hey Kind Warriors,

Some experienced advice here please .....

I'm new and trying to choose carefully ... and would like to know if I can trust the info provided on IM Report Card. They say that their rankings and ratings are based entirely on people familiar with products and/or services who offer legit feedback ...

Is this the case ? Is it safe using data on IM Report Card as "the truth" ? Would you better recommend other review sites ? Where can I find the best non-biased online business reviews .. that is, non-biased reviews of online businesses ?

Thanks very much for you time and counsel !

Best place to ask is right here: Internet Marketing Product Reviews & Ratings
The majority of "review" sites will have a dog in the fight, don't know about IM report card but ask your peers in the product review forum for best response...

I have nothing against IM Report Card or any other review site. I'm sure that there are some review sites, and perhaps IM Report Card, that are honest, ethical, and non-biased.

I do have something against affiliate preselling disguised as unbiased reviews.

In IM Report Card's case, it appears that they make money through JVs, advertising, and affiliate links with the very products being reviewed.

Could it be 100% unbiased? Possibly. But I think it's less likely when there is money to be made or lost.

For example, one of their top recommendations is Host Gator. Now I know that many people use Host Gator and one of the reasons is their high affiliate payout. They get an A-. However, compare the many threads the last year about how bad HG is here on the forum with all the reviews there. Disconnect?

Also, for signing up as a free member you get ebooks and other things from their partners. Is there any way that their partners could ever get a bad review or knocked from the list?

Compare that to Consumer Reports that has no commercial link to anything it reviews. That model is probably the only way to get a more unbiased review.
