Hi guys, I am wondering if i should buy solo ads to promote my MLM business.
Do you think that is wise? If not I would really appreciate any advice that could help me improve my MLM business.

Where are you going to send the visitors to? Have you built a squeeze page? Are you in control of the people that register for more info on your site?

Get off of your butt and go offline if you really want to succeed in MLM. It comes down to doing one thing everyday.... make a friend, then meet their friends. Do that and you will never run out of new people to help and put them into your downline.

The internet is great as a communications tool to help train your downline but it can't hold a candle to meeting people face to face, befriending them, finding out what they want, and provided it's a good fit.... showing them how Network Marketing can help them to get it.

Once you train them how the industry really works.... then you can introduce them to your company and products.

Whatever you may decide to pick as your vehicle to drive traffic to your promo, make sure you're not actually pitching the business/product.

Be sure to build rapport with your leads first and then use your product/MLM as the backend product as your profit maximizer.

The biggest mistake I see when people start to promote MLM or make money online business opportunities is that they are sending traffic to company landing page.

Most people on solo ad lists are looking for general make money opportunities and they are usually newbies..

So you need to understand this going in.

Most affiliates mail to the same offer, same landing page, same swipes and the audience doesn't respond to it well because they've seen it before.

However realize people are not robots and they usually don't just buy on first ball.

Most of sales in MLM and make money business opportunities are made on the followup once you email them several times and find ways to overcome their objects.

If you want people to buy your stuff you need to explain why they need it, how it's going to help them, show social proof of other people get results(if you haven't gotten results) and find different angles to hit them with. You need to think out of the box....

Almost all sales are made on the backend.

    So this is my advice....

See Post #4 by SteveSki, above.

This business is, always has been, and always will be about the
warm market. The problem is the vast majority don't truly know
what defines the warm market or how to approach it effectively.

Learn and apply that skill and you will realize your dreams.

Social media is good way to promote your MLM business.

e.g: you find people through Facebook then you contact people. If they are interested, you meet them directly.

Some businesses rely on more personal relationship than others. You don't need to make friends to sell coffee mugs.

But MLM is a different beast. As others mentioned, you need to form deeper relationships. (In my opinion, it's because something like 97% of the people aren't business minded. So you need to coach and motivate them to succeed.)

However, every business needs some way to attract new leads and MLM is no different. If you rely on your current warm market to succeed, you're gambling because one day, your warm market may run dry.

What needs to happen is that you gain new leads, give value to them, and turn them into your warm market who's willing to go into business with you in MLM.

A lead starts to become part of your warm market when you two connect, start talking (whether through email, Skype, or IM), and start to develop a working relationship.

You can use solo ads to gain new leads but remember a lead is not your warm market. You need to make extra effort to connect with them.

(I wrote this quickly so some of my ideas may not be 100% precise. Hopefully, you get the gist of what I'm saying.)

Growing your MLM business is based off of building relationships with people.

People want to work with people who they like and trust, so using solo ads won't be very effective.
You might get some sales, but the retention will be low because they don't know you.

Focus on building long-term assets using Social Media, Blogs, YouTube marketing.
Give people a chance to connect with your story and then build trust and credibility with them.

    Finally, network your ass off.

MLM is no different to any other business.

Why do companies spend millions and millions of dollars advertising all year for brand recognition.

It all comes down to trust and credibility. The more someone knows you and the more familiar they are with you and your product, the more likely they are to buy.

    That's just sales 101.

Just to add to this - a business has many options. For example:

      - you can advertise in a newspaper
      - you can use PPC
      - you can do joint ventures
      - you can do promo sales
      - telemarketing.
      - you display your goods in a store

But then again people who go into the MLM business are often not allowed to use any of the above by the MLM company...

So I guess you're stuck with door to door, maybe your family and friends.

Also, are you focused on getting people into the program, or are you trying to make money selling goods?

Here is the formula on how i made over 14k in 2 months promoting a MLM.
My main source of traffic was Solo ads!

Before you purchase solos, make sure to go on fb and look for real testimonials.
Test 100-200 clicks to see the conversion rate.
Make sure you offer converts and same with you landing page.

Another thing you need is a good fallow up sequence.
Here is where you make them purchase the product and give them some value.

The best results you can get is using webinars or videos.
If you cant make webinars, then link them to your leaders webinars. But make sure they join under you.

There are many different ways to promote an MLM opportunity but different opportunities will require different techniques. The best advise that I have for you is to find out what method of promoting is being used by the leaders in your organization.
My experiences with MLM are that most of them offers a system along with the products and/or service. Follow the system, cheers to your success.
      S- save
      Y- your
      S- self
      T- time
      E- energy
      M- money

PS: Don't forget to read your MLM's marketing guidelines.
