My blog is leaning toward politics

Ok, so when I created my blog, I made it for people to write about whatever they wanted to. But people seem to want to talk about politics. Is there anyway to make some money from the stuff they are talking about?
Please give me some tips on how to profit from the things they talk about?

    I second the motion on the SEO Plugin from Jeff Johnson and the information he sends.

    Also - It's probably just my eyes but the white text on black background makes it more difficult to read. This wouldn't be an issue if the posts are short and bullets but politics doesn't lend itself well to short posts

    One option might be to tie in CPA advertising on health insurance because of the recent push by the President to change the health care in the country. Or include advertising for items that many people might find interesting - such as an affiliate link to online banking or a particular investment firm. Rotating advertising related to family or marriage issues since you have those categories listed or an affiliate link to a music site that sells downloadable sheet music.

    Since it's user contributed content it will be more challenging to figure out the advertising end of it but it is doable.

    There could be a way in some perspective. This might increase the hit of your blog and you could do some back link. That way you will get a better form of promotion for your niche or something.
    But, I don't see anyway to get benefited directly.

    Well, i have received over 1000 uniques in less than a month on here.. so people are coming here.. which is nice. i would like to make it more profitable.
