I Just Quadrupled My Free Buyer Traffic in Under 5 Hours

Hi Warriors, I just tried out a new way to get free buyer traffic using Yahoo Pipes and Google Feedburner to set up an announcement channel for new or old post on my blog and I doubled my free traffic in less than 5 hours in the very first day!

The next day I used it again and this time I quadrupled my traffic.

I've been running this method for nearly a week now and have consistently got at least double my normal free traffic each and every day.

I was just wondering if this is a fluke or has anyone else had similar results using the announcement channel approach?

I had never heard of Yahoo Pipes, so I am assuming both are RSS feeds?

I can see that happening for a page that has a great title on it, but I'd really be more impressed to see its impact beyond the single web page.

I wouldn't call it a fluke, but I also would be wanting to see evidence of a wider traffic footprint to be fully happy with the news.

  Think I will have to wait for the video. I can't quite follow the instructions. Do you use Fetch Feed? Where do I find the feedburner module for pipes. I dont see it.

In it's broadest sense an announcement channel uses social media platforms, etc to make and announcement on and then you leverage their traffic to your own advantage i.e. get their traffic to your blog or offer, etc.

Here I'm looking at a narrower but very effective method of using RSS feeds to do this and channelling my blog post detail (URL, keywords, etc) to them using Yahoo Pipes.

Hi Chris, sorry you can't follow the instructions, my video will be much clearer and if not then I'm only a question away to help you get this up and running in any way I can.

I don't use Fetch Feed at all.

You can find Feedburner here www.feedburner.com/ and you can login with your Google account logins.

Pipes are more of a conduit to channel you blog details through to the Feedburner which is the RSS end of things.

It won't work with pages only posts. Great titles are not important it's having a ''killer'' sales copy place strategically in your post that counts, amongst other things.

What would you want to see regarding a wider traffic footprint and I'll try to provide that for you?

  Converting NO, as I'm not directing the traffic to any offer at the moment I'm just experimenting with traffic flow and volume. But it is quality, highly targeted traffic.
  
  73.29% of all traffic is Tier 1.
  
  Bounce rate on average is 40% over the 7 day period of the trial. This could be lowered by improving the layout of the blog which is brand new and has not had any work on optimisation to reduce bounce rate (I usually enjoy a 0% bounce rate on my other main site which is optimised). This has nothing to do with the method of driving the traffic which is sound and consistent.
  
  Time on site is 9.13 minutes on average with 3.33 page views on average and 536 page views in total over the period.
