Help: Quick Wordpress Question?

Hi, I'm currently trying to set up a wordpress template for my blog/website www.tristanleesblog.com.

I wanted to know if I could transfer all the content that I have so far into Wordpress in the same kind of archive format, or do I have to start over writing from scratch?

I've never used wordpress.org before so I was wondering if any Wordpress experts know this answer?

Thank you.

In your WP.org admin screens, on sidebar, look under tools and find Import where the WordPress category imports posts, pages, comments, custom fields, categories, and tags from a WordPress export file.

Look in the admin area of your WP.com admin area for the Export tool. That will make the file you need.

Not sure what you are asking. Setting up a new theme/template in WordPress does not change the content of the blog. You can change theme as often as you want.

If you are moving from one WP blog to another then WP has an export/import function. Go to tools area on the left dashboard nav menu and click on import. On the page that comes up you will see an option to import a WordPress blog from a WP export file. So on the old WP blog create the export file and then use it for the import file on new blog

EDIT: OK I looked at site and it is not WP but appears to be generated by Word because there are Word classes in the HTML. Do you know the software was used to generate site? If so, check if it is on the list of types on the WP import page. If not you will probably have to recreate content in WP.

You still don't get it, I am afraid...
You won't be able to set up a WP template on that site. You scrap that site and install a WP blog instead.

Yea its easy. You need to install wordpress blog, set up tempalte and everysthing and then you jsut need to import your old database in new wordpress, how hard is that depends on your old database structure, but i was converting and importing all kind of databases with videos and images to wordpress blogs.

You will probably need offline mysql to test things out. if this is too ahrd for you, you can hire freelancer.
