Unsubscribe From WF Email List....

I am curious as to how I got on a list where the WF can now send me their promotions?

Is this something that I was subscribed to all along before the new ownership, but the previous ownership never actively promoted to me?

If I do unsubscribe, what affect would that have on my WF account? Do I need to be subscribed in order to stay a WF member, in order to be a War Room member, in order to use my Signature Graphic? Etc....?

I personally do not want to be actively promoted to by the WF but I do not want to unsubscribe IF it's going to mess up something that I belong to already from the previous owner.

If you use Gmail, you can drag all WF correspondence into the "Promotions" tab. That way, you can deal with these emails on your own terms. They won't show up in your "Primary"tab.

Anything that appears even slightly commercial I relegate to the "Promtions" tab. That way, I can do a two second mass delete once a day.

On the whole, you get what you pay for.

Of course Allen had the list previously, but did not use it for promotions. Unsubscribe if you don't like it. It doesn't affect anything except that you will no longer get email from WF, probably including emails that an admin would send out normally for a site problem or downtime or similar.

Yep, if you have signed up and created an account at the forum and/or use any of their paid services, they are well within their rights to contact you so long as they include an unsubscribe link. Just hit the unsubscribe and you'll just stop getting the emails. I am 99% certain it would not effect anything else... would be a silly move on their part if it did.
