What Transcription Software is the best to use to Record Interviews?

HI guys

I want to start interviewing people/successful online entrepreneurs and to do this i will need it recorded in mp3 format and transcribed.

I need advice on which is the best transcription software to use?

It will probably mostly be for phone calls, but also for face-to-face recording.

To be honest i haven't even done any research as yet.

I just thought i'd get advice from someone here who's been doing recordings & transcribed them - someone who has found a particular software that's working brilliantly for them.

Any good suggestions are welcome.

    For telephone recording, I use TRx recorder - Phone Recording Software - Windows Call Recording, Mac Phone Recording (not an affiliate link) and hire someone of Elance to transcribe it.

    you can use inscribe/inqscribe for audio/video recordings and for transcription I prefer manual transcription instead of using software, anyways I'm also doing some sort of medical transcription...

    There are phone apps both android and iphone that will record just make sure you tell them you are recording my app has the option to announce it. The other way is to do what I do and just have them dial into a phone conference line then record (they do it it then you download mp3)

    Hey Maestro,

    There are a lot of software available for transcribing recorded file, interview and phone calls, but as per my suggestion those software cannot give you 100% accuracy as well as quality. Hence as per my suggestion, it is safer to engage any professional transcription service provider or outsource your requirement for any professional company.
