What's The Best Free Screen Recording Software?

Hello,

I am looking for a free screen recording software to help me record some tutorials. It will be on how to register domain names and sell them for profits.

Thank you for your time.

I use Screencast-O-Matic. You can try the free version.

Well I used to use Jing.

But now I'm using ezvid. It was a free download and it will post directly to your YouTube account.

Just google it and you'll find it easy.

      Mac or Windows?
Windows = Latest Version Of Camtasia
Mac = Screenflow (It's free and records in HD) *I prefer this one*

I use camtasia, it's nice but not free. I've read that camstudio is pretty good. You should download a few of the freebies and see which one you like the most. I think screencast-o-matic puts a watermark on your video, though I may be wrong.

Another one to throw into the mix is ActivePresenter: Free Edition - Advanced Screencast & Rapid eLearning Authoring Tool

+1 for Screencast-O-Matic . They also have a paid version that comes out to just $15 a year that has just awesome features.

Been using Jing for over 2 years now.
Really a great tool especially if you have a satellite team where you need to relay information from time to time.

I've never had any problems with CamStudio although I'm now using Camtasia. A few others that I previously tried (e.g Jing) seemed to have no major advantage over CamStudio, and why make extra work by having to learn a new tool when the one you already use works fine?

No one has said a really good one:

Open Broadcaster Software. It came out for gamers and live streamers. It has an option to just record locally. I use it exclusively and its free.
