List building and autoresponder question. Any help much appreciated!

INTERNET MARKETING

I have used Aweber before, but would like to try a standalone autoresponder program. Can these types of programs do things like Aweber such as building opt-in forms, automatically sending the person to a thank you page, and all the other things? Or is that something I would have to do manually?

Is there any software that handles everything that Aweber does?

  If you mean something like an autoresponder script of some sort, I would stay away from those, unless of course you have a really really nice script and a dedicated server. If you don't, then your best choice is Aweber or Get Response.

Hi Phil,

Personally I like GetResponse. I've checked out stand-alones, but decide that for the GR fee the hassles of running my own just wasn't worth it.

If it's a matter of the $. Check your host, they often will throw in a free autoresponder with your account.

One program I'm looking at is EZAutoresponder Pro. Its a standalone program that you run from your computer.
