Hello warriors, I have a question actually two...

1. How do you find hot affiliate products that will sell and actually make you money? I have had a hard hard time learning how to do this would love to get into affiliate marketing but am at a loss how to find the "golden nuggets" that actually sell...

2. How do you actually sell affiliate products? any advice or tips? Keep in mind I have no list... so this would be good to share some advice to help people out there who are also in the same boat as myself.
  • Based on "Don't make the same mistakes I made," I would say that the most important thing is the quality of your traffic. If you have a site about bees, try to sell honey not industrial machine parts.

Find all of the posts here related to selling affliate products, and then some. Read as much as you can, don't be paralysed by analysis and take action.

I have a couple of pointers for you, that worked v well for me

1] I made sure that the affiliate sites had good sales material provided. Each one of the 2 I used had autoresponder sequences available etc etc

2] When I promoted affiliate products, I made sure that there was a residual income, ie, I would get paid each month for as long as the subscriber stayed a member. I also made sure that I actually used the products before I promoted them. That way, I knews that if I bought and used them, other folks would too.

I fell lucky with a couple of sites I promoted and those two sites provded a pretty good income for me - one of which still pays me 40 bucks or so every month, 3 years after I stopped promoting . . . one of them converted pretty well for me.

3] I created a weekly newsletter and built my lists with it. The newsletter had a bit of personal newsy stuff, a shortie marketing tip/hint, an PLR article which usually followed a theme and a motivational quote. Oh yes, I included 2 ads in each newsletter pointing to each of the affiliate sites.

I only promoted the 2 sites to my list, with the occassional resale rights product . . .

    Hi imnewtomarketing, Sandy here...

I don't know if you've heard of an Internet Marketing "guru"
by the name of John Reese?

My highest recommendation for you to learn ALL THINGS affiliate marketing,
would be to check John's latest major launch.

He just launched a site located at: Opportunity.com .
(I don't receive any compensation for this referral by the way)

It is the most comprehensive site on affiliate marketing I have seen.

    Lots of luck,
    Sandy
