What the heck, how does my site look?

I'm not really new to IM but I am new to this type of site. Does it suck or is it okay?

I pretty much flushed everything I've done before and looked to one of Liz Tomey's programs for guidance on starting over ... not sure if I hit it or not but I think it is pretty close.

Actually, not half-bad! Could be a bit longer with some additional emotional hooks. But the real missing component is testimonials. Get a handful of these in there!

      Thanks, I'm working on that.

I wonder why my other reply vanished.

The pitch seems reasonable enough to me. Going from $0/day to $100/day over time and with training seems a lot more achievable than instantaneous, overnight success with no training.

The only thing I'd suggest is split-testing this page against another that does two things: 1) includes the words "free course" in the header; and 2) places the opt-in box in a place that is immediately visible when you load the page.

Good luck with your new site.

Thanks, I think you are right. I'll give it a few days then change it and see what happens.

        Rich,

Congratulations for taking action and getting your site up and operational.

I would pretty much agree with all the comments made thus far. Consider changing the layout to two columns under the headline so that your landing page has a list of bullet points on the left, and the opt-in box on the right. That will get your opt-in box "above the fold", and move your benefit-laden bullet points closer to the "golden triangle" as revealed by user eye tracking studies.

I would also recommend increasing the emotional intensity of the copy in the headline and bullet points, making sure that each is rich in benefits. For example, instead of saying "Learn Email Marketing", you could turn up the intensity by changing it to something like "Discover 7 simple ways to turn an ordinary email into your own cash blasting hand grenade." Perhaps that's a little over the top, which brings me to my last point.

You can collect ten different opinions in twenty different forums, and you still won't know what works best. As mentioned above, just do some split-testing in the market and you will have your answer.

        All the Best,

        Mike

    Hi Rich

In honesty it's OK. But only OK. Not trying to burst your bubble here, but personally my first impression was of a low rent site that took 20 minutes to put together. I really dont think this sort of style/design will convert well for you.

Its just so like every other MMO squeeze page that you see..I really think you should spend some $$ on getting a good design..something web 2.0, otherwise you'll just become another 1 of a trillion dull, depressing sites.

    Sorry to be blunt.
    Just my opinion.

I was kind of thinking that myself but I'll give this a try for a bit and see how it goes.

Why not make a short compelling video?

I was thinking about trying that over the weekend. I'm not sure what I would put in it - Would just a minute or so of me blabbing away about it be enough?
