I am starting to publish some hubpages, and so I figured I would apply for the eBay affiliate program in an attempt to make some money from my hubs.

I received an email from them yesterday saying that they would not approve my application at this time.

What's up with that? Since when does a company NOT want to drive traffic to their site?

Get your own domain and ad a blog on it, trow some articles (your own or PLR) on it make it look nice and reapply again.

    Good luck.

  • I agree with what everyone above has posted. EBN is selective about who they accept to their network, they are not going to take everyone that has a page on the internet. I am not surprised in the least that they turned down your application. If your serious about joining their network your going to need a professional website on it's own domain.

They're extremely picky because of problems in the past with cookie stuffing, bad incentivization schemes and so forth, especially when their program was run by Commission Junction.

What seems to help is having a good website that is about a product line or hobby, having an active eBay buyer/seller account that they can link to your application, the higher the feedback the better, and persistence because they usually reject the first application.

The thing is that I did not even mention Hubpages in my application... It was hubpges that turned me on to their affiliate program, since hubpages promotes it as one of the "moneymakers" for your hubs.

I have a personal running/cycling blog that I have been doing for a year now. It started not as a way to make money but a way for me to connect with the endurance sports community... this is what I pointed ebay too and they still said no.
