What Camera do you use for Videos Sales or Funnel videos?

I personally use a cheap Canon 600d but time is limited to 9 minutes.

Do you use professional material like a canon 5d or your iphone is OK? do you think that very good quality videos will change the game?

Please describe your material and video techniques.

I've got a Logitech Webcam that shoots 720p.

    The best? Naw...was like $70.

    I think...content > super premium video quality.

I'm very laid back - I use a Microsoft Webcam.

Then I use Windows MovieMaker to cut said video.

Then I use Handbrake to smoosh down the size.

Then I upload it to YouTube and embed it on my sales page.

    Very laidback am I.

I took an in-depth video course and have done video, but have kept them private. I still haven't made video available publicly because I'm just not ready yet.

That said, I HAVE played a lot with video behind the scenes. The iPhone produces great video and it's just the easiest for me to use. So I use it the most.

The FiLMIC Pro app ($4.99 in the iTunes store), will give you professional-grade control over the camera, allowing you to set the focus, exposure (lighting), white balance, etc. https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/film...436577167?mt=8

If you're going to use your iPhone, you'll need an iPhone tripod. I use this one: Amazon.com: iStabilizer Flex Smartphone Flexible...Amazon.com: iStabilizer Flex Smartphone Flexible...

I've also used the Kodak zi8, a great camera which has an external mic jack for a lavalier mic. Awesome! Kodak doesn't sell it anymore, but they have other cameras which do the same thing. You can also find the zi8 sold at different places, new and used. Just do a search.

I also have a Logitech webcam which I've never actually used because it doesn't have an external mic jack.

Very important: audio is super important in video! If your picture is a bit choppy at times, people will stick with you longer if the audio is good. People will leave a lot faster if your audio is bad.

It's easy to hear the difference when someone is using a mic and when they're not. I really dislike the sound when someone isn't using a mic. Usually the audio isn't as loud and not as clear. You'll hear a lot more background noise and/or "white noise", the "humming" when the mic is recording ALL sound, even if there's no background noise to speak of.

I used the Audio Technica Audio-Technica ATR-3350 Lavalier mic for all of my video. It's a professional-grade mic, yet it's super cheap: just $25. You can get it here: Amazon.com: Audio-Technica ATR-3350 Lavalier...Amazon.com: Audio-Technica ATR-3350 Lavalier...

However, if you want to use it with your iPhone, you'll need a mic adapter. Otherwise, the iPhone will just ignore it.

You can find it here: iPhone 1/8 inch microphone adapter - 3.5mm 4 conductor TRRS Male to 3.5mm Microphone Input Jack

So you plug the adapter into the iPhone, plug the Audio Technica mic into the adapter, clip the mic to your lapel, and voila! You now have EXCELLENT audio and are LIGHT YEARS ahead of 99% of everyone on YouTube! (YouTube is chock full of HORRIBLE video: bad lighting, bad audio, etc. Don't be one of those people.)

      Hope that helps!

As Nightengale says, audio is paramount over picture quality. If you're on a budget check out the Logitech C920.

Also make sure to pay attention to lighting the guerilla filmmakers handbook is a good read as it covers sound and lighting and doing it on the cheap.

Aside from that the previous post about the ipad is a good way to go.

Or if you want to go really cheap openoffice and audacity.

I used a Canon 60D and a lot of indie filmmakers are using it to create... indie films. It was about $700 new, but the quality is out of this world. I got a lavalier mic that clips onto my shirt when I talk, because any built-in mic isn't going to cut it. That was only $30.

Check YouTube, because there are a ton of videos on there about getting pro quality video on a budget.
