Don't Know Which Font to Pick? (This font is used by one of the biggest online news papers)

Some of you might find it useful, since a company that size must have done some split testing to find the most readable font

p {
font-family: arial, helvetica,sans;
margin: 0 0 1em 0;
padding: 0;
font-size: 13px;
}

I have attached a file that shows the comparison, the top "and" is the one I replicated using this snippet, and the bottom "and" is the original reuters one.

    I recall reading that USA Today really tested the hell out of everything on their online page. Keep a good eye on them. They're using 12px Arial. So it seems like an overall winner.

    People make good money selling to the rich. But the rich got rich selling to the masses.

      Interesting bit of information Blue Squares,

      I went on both sites and compared the fonts, it appears that there is only a slight difference,
      the reuters font spaces out just a bit more.

      Look at the attachement, the top "the" is from Reuters and the bottom one is USA today

    Very interesting! Thanks for the info!

    Stands to reason that Arial and sans serif fonts would be easier to read.
