Default Where can I convert my Word Documents to PDF files?

Is there a place where can I convert my word documents into PDF files absolutely FREE and EASY? Or is it all paid software only that will do it?

PDF Converter, Convert to PDF Online Free, Document to PDF Conversion Service

Just upload your .doc and they'll mail back the .pdf

You can google for other sites that offer the same.

Primopdf and PDF995 are free print drivers that work well with Windows... you install them as a printer and when you want to create a pdf from your doc file just hit print and then choose the pdf printer from your printer options window.. it will save the pdf as a file for you.

Open Office is what I use...simplest thing ever and if you need other tools in MSFT Office it will do that too...rather than having a million tools this one covers a lot of them!

If you have word 07 you can download a free converter from ms right here.
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en

It's a small download, quick install, don't even need a restart, then it is just a couple of clicks and you wind up with both the pdf and the word docx. I haven't looked into the details of this yet but I read somewhere at ms that you can do a web optimized pdf. Considering how often ff freezes while loading a pdf I'd like to see more of those.

For a free option you can't beat openoffice, really good software that will give you live links which some other software don't.

Run, do not walk, to the link Lloyd's been so kind to post. I just finished a major ebook project that defeated Acrobat but not Microsoft's free add-on. Strongly recommended.

Thanks, I enjoyed this part too. Word 07 had really impressed me but I haven't used Acrobat and it's surprising that a little download can beat a big $ program once in awhile. I actually really don't like the comment 'you get what you pay for.' I haven't actually said it to anyone posting that so far, but what I feel like saying is 'You're kidding! How much do you spend on oxygen?'

One of the positive things about Word is a busy forum. I had a couple of things that irritated me about the program and within a few hours of posting questions there would be really good accurate answers. It seems like there are Word experts with professional sites built to help big business with their word problems, and the competing site owners practically race each other to get you a good answer which you can then rate. Microsoft Word lets you save documents as PDF files. I think it's the newer version.

Once you have finished your document, click:

Save As

I use PDF995 which someone mentioned before.

As a printer driver, you can use it with any program, not just Word and other office apps.

For example, you can save a copy of a forum thread or a sales letter you want to keep, by printing it to a PDF from the browser. You get exactly what you see without saving the webpage itself, which means a whole folder of files and often misses things like background images.

From my personal experience, OpenOffice is the perfect PDF creation software, because:

- Creates the PDFs with one click.
- Creates clickable links in the document seamlessly.
- Creates TOC/Bookmarks of the document automatically.

URL: OpenOffice.org - The Free and Open Productivity Suite - there are PC and Mac versions.

If you don't want to use OpenOffice, I can recommend:

- PDF995 - pdf 995: create PDF documents easily for free
- PrimoPDF - http://http://primopdf.com/

I hope this will help.

Good luck!
Bill

Open office if you are on a low budget. Adobe Acrobat if you have the money to spare.
