To Deliver E-learning or Physical Package?

Hi all,

I'm just putting the finishing touches to quite an in depth tutorial package (have about 6 hours of video plus an ebook and some supporting work sheets).

At the moment the plan is to give the basics away for free then the real advanced information presented in a members area. Which is fine but would require a bit more technical input on my part, hosting costs etc etc

I've recently discovered cd fulfilment and shipping companies so another option would be to not have the members area idea but rather sell DVD/cd packages to my customers.

Both have pros and Cons. I guess the members area will tempt sales because they have instant delivery which everyone likes. But I'm no web developer and not sure how to go about creating something like this.

But something is very appealing about sending out a nicely packaged bundle of discs. Something about actually receiving a product increases the perceived value of a product.

Does anyone have any views on this please?

    Hi mate,

    No doubt, that sending physical DVDs or printed media will be very much appreciated, but no doubt this will kill your profit margins.
    Offer both, download package and premium physical package.

    I suppose that technical part wont be so difficult either, hosting expenses probably wont be a problem if you host it with AWS or similar.

    Thanks for the suggestions guys. I like the idea of maybe having both. Focus on marketing one as a e-course and one as a physical delivery one.

    You should offer both, or at the very least, enough digital contents to keep them busy until their DVD/physical book arrives on their doorstep. Offering both actually has additional pros, such as high perceived value and it puts buyer on a high for a second time when they receive their parcel in the mail.
