Errr - Google not accepting my site map

I made a small website and I submitted a sitemap to google and it keeps getting rejected.

All it says is:

We encountered an error while trying to access your Sitemap. Please ensure your Sitemap follows our guidelines and can be accessed at the location you provided and then resubmit.

my site is

massagepasadena.com

and my sitemap is at massagepasadena.com/sitemap.xml

Can someone help me. I'm not too sure what I'm dong wrong.

I remember when I got an error like that and didn't know what to do. I realize I had to submit my site again with "www" instead of just "http" or nothing before your domain name. When I did that and submitted my sitemap, it didn't have an error. Try it and see if it works.

so instead of massagepasadena.com, try

w w w. massagepasadena. com

I'll get that a try. I am concerned I might have done something unintentional to make me look bad. Or perhaps the previous owner screwed up the domain.

Then I would be in trouble.

Ok I tried what you said and I got an error but this time it was useful:

Network unreachable: robots.txt unreachable
We were unable to crawl your Sitemap because we found a robots.txt file at the root of your site but were unable to download it. Please ensure that it is accessible or remove it completely.

I will try to fix that and re submit

ok I got it working. I had an old .htaccess in my root directory left over from a wordpress install. Guess that teaches me to really clean my "virtual room" once in a while.
