expired domains for traffic

I am interested in the penny stock niche. I know several people doing well very well in it. I am wondering if expired domains with backlinks might drive traffic to my investment pages.

I doubt it. Usually people lose money so quickly on penny stocks they don't hang around weeks or months or years later.

I my opinion buying expired domain and create backlinks for website is not the good ideas. When you buy and create website to create backlinks you have to check, domain is not penalized by search engine, previous version of domain is relevant to your website

It's possible, you can try it and see the results. You'll need to do good research on the domains though.

But don't see this as the only way to drive traffic, you should cobine multiple methods, because you might be disappointed with the results if you just use this.

Good expired domains can bring traffic in But you need to check what sort of backlinks it has in the past. If there is anything negative about the domain, it doesn't worth trying on it however you might see some good domain names bringing in traffic.

I'll test it with 10 domains. There are a lot of domains in the stock investment space with backlinks ranging from 50-1000. Some are good links from press releases to newspapers, stock forums, and specific companies. Many are spammy links from bad link building packages.

For back links???Waste of time in my view.

Unless those expired domains get a ton of traffic on their own, don't waste your time with figuring how to back link to get ranked better.

I tend to agree with Talfighel.

I think aged domains are mostly overrated. "Just any" links coming to your site are not necessarily a good thing. As soon as your site is up and indexed on the aged domain, Google and other search engines will know it's a new site.

Plus, your old links will dwindle over time and the anchor text may have no relevance to the content on the new pages.

IMO, you would be better off finding a great new domain name that is relevant to your new site and go with it. It's pretty hard to find an aged domain that is the perfect fit for a new site.

I am looking for domains that are in the penny stock niche that willbe forwarded to my domain. Lots of sites flame out but still remain in customers bookmarks, posted on stock message boards etc. For example a domain about biotech stocks will be redirected to my new pages.

    Definitely man.

I've had domains expire that bring in thousands of hits (not necessarily unique, but still) per month...

(I have expired ClickBank vendor products... And affiliates are still driving BOATLOADS of traffic to products/domains that have long since expired... YEARS LATER)...

Whether or not this traffic is actually practical and useful? I'm not sure... That's above my pay grade.

    Food for thought...
