Serious question about Internet Marketing

Ok guys, I used to lurk these forums a whole lot and learned a lot about IM and I'm grateful for that.

However, I come back every once in a while just to see what the talk is nowadays and whatnot, and I've noticed in incredible amount of BS being thrown down peoples' throats. I mean the whole "make-money-online" scam is just horrible. I've never fallen into one of these traps, but I know many, many people have.

Isn't it clear that these are literally all scams? How is it that they are so freely advertised?

As I'm typing this, I'm literally reading an ad above that says "Make 10K Per Month ASAP &... I will GUARANTEE your 1st sale in LESS THAN 14 DAYS!"

Jeez lol do these people have no morals?

Anyway, that's the end of my rant. Hope everyone is doing fine in their ventures

Here's where the shift happens; you ignore the low energy stuff, and cease ranting, to devote your attention to a high energy end What you choose to notice, expands. All the best!

I know what you mean and I think that this means you are seeing the reality of this business. I've been through this, but Ryan is right about not focusing on the negative (however true it may be) doing so will not do you any favors only make you more depressed and frustrated. I have felt like you do for a long time ,maybe you feel you want to do something about it, but your comments here will be like taking a "pee into the wind". The majority could not give a damn for your opinion as sad as that may be, they are too blinkered and brainwashed by the dream of success.

The law is a bit vague and very rarely enforced, I think.

To assume the role of a cynic, for a moment, you could say that anyone stupid enough to respond to an advertisement like that, which makes that sort of income claim, gets what they deserves. I'm on your side (as I perceive it), myself: I think the forum shouldn't accept and publish ads like that, and that in the long-term they damage us all, whether we click on them or not. But I suspect that that's actually a minority view.

All cynicism apart, I genuinely think that most of the people who click on those as potential customers/participants are gullible and misguided.

    Hi,

That is why they're doing it because it's working for them!

When you're advertising to the masses you can afford to have 90%
of people walk away and cash in from the other 10% who are more
    responsive to such promises.
