Acceptable Refund Rate

I am new to IM and am currently looking into affiliate marketing. Can someone please give me an idea of an acceptable refund rate. I am trying to promote weight loss but some of these products have a 50% refund rate!!! Any help would be appreciated.

I would say a 5% refund rate is to be expected. How are you getting the refund rates? They list the refund rate on the affiliate website?

ClickBank refund rates are not provided and cannot be calculated.

Also a product with 50% refund rate would be removed from the
        ClickBank Marketplace.

Depends on the niche market, internet marketing products (especially on clickbank) can be incredibly high, I am personally happy with anything in IM that is less than 25%. However, I also have products I personally sell with refund rates of less than 3% (poodle grooming dvd).

Info products should be around 5%... Realistically between 4-8% would be very normal.

Overall, you never want a refund % over 5 %. If there are refunds over 5% for any digital product in any niche, you may have the following problems:
    1. Low Quality Product
    2. Product is a Fraud -- Here you will need to investigate
    3. "ALL" Buyers are scammers -- this is highly unlikely, but a percentage could be
    4. Product Price was too high for what was received -- Price was a determining factor & expectations weren't met.

This is why i feel its necessary for affiliates to actually READ & actually really review a product, vs. just taking information off a sales page & cutting & pasting, without having any real knowledge of what is being said is actually truth.

You are doing yourself a disservice to your buyers on your list if you do not put in any effort.
