I was doing some keyword research for local seo and when I looked up

"foo bar" and "bar foo" they get the same numbers in google keyword tool.

When I look them up on google they get almost the same results but my site is only showing up for "bar foo" and not "foo bar".

Most of my keywords on the page are in the "bar foo" order but not all of the them.

Does that mater.

To rank good for both of them are do i have to switch the order around a bit?

(the "foo bar" is a fake keyword)

Thanks

My testing has shown that keyword order does matter.

You can try placing your keywords in the Title tag using the convention "Foo Bar - Order Bar Foo Direct". This has worked well for me.

Of course, you should place the post important variation of your keyword first.. ie: "Foo Bar" or "Bar Foo" - whichever one gets more searches.

BTW, I would hope the keyword "Foo Bar" is fake ; )

I will give that a shot. I hope it works. The keyword tool is kinda hard to figure out order because the results for both orders are the same. maybe in real life they are the same but I don't think so.

foo bar might not be fake if I was doing a programing site. (or a war site and I didnt know how to spell)
