I installed Contact Form 7. Now when I submit the form, the mail doesn't go to the recipient address and returns back with the error message This message was created automatically by mail delivery software. A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es) failed: demo accounts are not permitted to relay email Any advice?? |

ya. I have my email address set for my domain. I have the same set in the contact form. But the contact form doesn't mail to the e-mail address that I set. Instead this error message goes to the Default cpanel E-mail address of my hosting account! Say my cpanel mail id is myname@mydomain.com I have set the contact form to mail to mymail@mydomain.com But when the contact form is submitted, I get a mail to my default myname@mydomain.com displaying the error mentioned in the first post. |

Try changing the email address to a Gmail or any other account and see if it is working. If it is working, then there must be a problem with the email your current email ID. Also see if the plugin is compatible with your version of WordPress. You might have updated to WordPress 2.8 and the plugin might not be compatible with this version of WordPress. |

I have never had any problems with the plugin... I'm thinking what ramkarthik said might be the solution. Double check the version of your WP.

The issue is definitely a compatibility issue. What you need to do is Deactivate all your plugins, upgrade your Wordpress version, & then install Contact Form 7 first. That should solve the problem. |

Which browser are you using. I tried Contact Form 7 a few days ago. It worked fine in Safari, Firefox and Chrome, but didn't work in IE. Not for me, or for my client. I used Simple Modal Contact Form instead. Works fine. Edit: I remember wondering at the time if it was a theme issue. |

Thank you all for the replies ![]() @@rosetrees: I am not sure if theme is the problem. I can't even figure that out for now. Working on it. @@Craig Desorcy: Thanks a lot for the video. I have done pretty much the same thing. Even my page displays the "The message has been successfully sent" thing. But it just doesn't get delivered where it is supposed too.. ![]() may be I should show the page to someone.. |

Show the page to me. I think you are missing something small and simple. But it may be due to a bug in WordPress 2.8, which stops categories from appearing in the drop-downs and some plugins. This bug has affected loads of similar themes aswell – it’s not a bug with the theme. This bug has already been fixed in the 2.8.1 nightly builds. You can trick your WordPress install to automatically upgrade to the WordPress 2.8.1 beta: Go into wp-includes/version.php and change $wp_version from 2.8 to 2.8.1-beta and then visit Tools->Upgrade. But, again, I think you are missing/misplacing something in your contact form. I'll be online for a little bit longer if you want me to pop in and take a look. |

I figured it out! Thank you all for the advice. I had installed WP using Fantastico through cpanel. But I when I upgraded, I did it through WP login. I am not sure why that caused a prob. Now I logged into the Fantastico and upgraded again through that.. Bingo! Contact form 7 is up and running! |
