This question might sound REALLY stupid...

Like I said in the title, this question might sound really stupid.

OK, so you know the Add to Cart buttons, right? You have commonly seen them on a sales page.

What is the software used to make those Add to Cart buttons? If the software is paid - which most likely it will be - are there any FREE alternatives to that software.

Thanks,
LeadsandTraffic4Free

It's not a stupid question, but it does sound like you are very new to this, and even if you knew of free buttons, it might still not help you. Simply go into google, type "Add to Cart", and then click on the "images" button. You'll see lots of samples. To get free add to cart buttons, go into google, type "Free "add cart" buttons". etc, etc. You should be able to get what you need within 1-2 minutes.

Try Gimp - free alternative to Photoshop. Can use this to design your own.

I'm not sure if you mean the software that lets your add products to a cart or the software that lets your create the "add to cart" graphics.

If need the add to cart shopping cart software you can check out paypal. They have a free shopping cart and they also have a free payment gateway, to process credit cards.

If you want software to make "add to cart" graphics, probably the best is photoshop, but it isn't free. There is a free alternative called gimp. It is similar to photoshop and is entirely free. If you google "gimp tutorials" there should be a bunch of tutorial to help you get started. gimp.org/ (thats the web address)

Within your paypal account in the merchant section is where you create the buttons you see on sales pages. you enter some information and it generates a code you then add to your page. hope that helps not sure if I understood it fully but there is my two cents

  • Thanks Everyone.

I have heard of GIMP and I think I have previously downloaded GIMP. However, I did not know how to use it effectively. Especially when I want to make graphics with the software. So I uninstalled it ):

Does anyone know how to use GIMP to make graphics such as an Add to Cart button?

    Thanks Everyone (...again =P)

I sell my digital products through e-junkie.com They provide you with unique links that automatically get delivered to your customer so that they can download what they've bought straight away. They also provide free 'add to cart' and 'buy it now buttons'.

As others have said, you can also use software like gimp and photoshop to make your own buttons.

    Hope that helps!

GIMP is a general graphics program - you can use it to make anything, provided you know how. There are also many tutorials on the web which you can use to learn.

There are also the so-called "generators" which are programs that specifically create buttons such as Free Web Button Maker - ButtonGenerator.com (no affiliation), although I would for sure go with the Belcher button everybody's recommending before trying those.
