Easy $100 Contest. Best high priced affiliate program

One of the things I teach in my RFM program is that promoting high priced affiliate programs is one of the easiest ways to achieve the $5K to $10K per month threshold.

It takes nearly the same amount of effort to promote a $1000 product as it does a $27 product. So it only makes sense if you want to make a lot of money to promote high priced items.

I was stoked to see one affiliate program I promote just crossed the six figure mark and I've had to put in very minimal time to achieve that. To say I'm thankful to be an affiliate would be a understatement.

Anyhow, here's the contest...

I want to know what affiliate programs exist that pay at least $300 in commissions.

For you to win the $100, all you need to is...

1. Mention the affiliate program that pays at least $300 in commissions (and provide a link to the sign up page).

and...

2. Tell me why you think the affiliate program is worthy of trying out. (This can be an opinion. You don't necessarily have to have experience with it).

The winner will be whoever I feel has provided the best program that is likely to help others make good money. Also, it will create a nice list for Warriors to check out for the programs they would like to promote.

All around win win for everyone I'd say.

So Warriors, what affiliate programs do you know of that pay at least $300?

Thanks for playing.

  • Dude this sounds awesome, I spend pretty much all of my time promoting $47 clickbank products... Perhaps time would be better spent elsewhere like you say Jason.

The problem is that so many of the higher ticket items seem to be short lived in my experience (like 7 day launches), so running an SEO site for example and getting residual income from them is tough. Higher ticket items seem to be better suited to email promotion, at least in the IM niche.

Very interested to see what guys come up with... I'll be watchin' this one closely.

I agree with you 100% George. It is a bit frustrating to put in a bit of SEO work, dominate a search result, and then have the program close down in a few days.

For far too long I've wished my friends would keep their programs open as Evergreen products, but I do understand the scarcity aspect of the whole thing. It just sucks because I could probably triple or quadruple my earnings from some of these affiliate programs.

And yeah, it is a bit tough to find great affiliate programs that stay open all year long, yet pay out a nice chunk of cash. Hence the contest, which I think will be beneficial for all.

      Cheers

        OK, Jason,

I've been doing a bit more research after reading your post and found another option (pardon the pun) - Options University. They pay 35% and have online courses and home study courses in the four figure range.

In a similar vein, Profits Run, another forex/trading training company offers up to $700 commissions on some of their products.

Thanks again for this exercise; it's making me think outside the box.

          This is good stuff.

Let's keep em coming. The more the better for everyone.

I'm particularly digging Valerie SONORA's contribution with Africa Point (as well as the rest of the entries she provided). That's a pretty targeted product to sell, and quite interesting.

I'll probably make a decision on the winner in a day or two. However, the more info we create in the thread will make it so everyone wins.

I remember when I started in IM, I used to promote some high priced products through adwords.

My first sale was a 11 piece drum set, and then it was followed by 2 sales of "stair lifts".

My commissions were about 800 USD in the first month from 3 sales, with only the google cash method of direct linking. My adwords cost was about $20.

After that, once my quest for information increased, I started earning lesser and lesser affiliate commissions through clickbank products.

Reason I mention this is to show there are higher end products that people do buy online. Yes probably I was lucky, and probably it is more difficult to sell now, but I think it can be done.

Probably you can try googling affiliate programs for stair lifts and stuff like medical equipment. They pay well.

    Profitsrun.com always served well

Great products, "mid-ticket" ($600+ commissions on the first tier)

Most of the products are in the markets/trading niche... that's one niche that I've had some great fun with..

p.s. Don't forget using amazon targeting for high priced products, some of the Plasma and HD Tv's continue to pay out nice commissions on some amazon stores of mine....

Can't say I've successfully worked with a program that pays over $300 per sale before. Plenty in the $100 per sale range, and I even run one that pays $100 per sale on some products.

I do directly sell some products over $300 and have affiliates selling my $300+ products, but the commission is obviously not 100%.

          Jason, thanks a lot!

Not for myself, but for the WF in general. Over the last few weeks we have seen standars slipping a little, and a good ol' contest should bring motivation and the WF spark back to the forums.

I do not use affiliate marketing, but I will definately be trying with the product that comes out on top, or in second place.

Congrats, and I think that this will be another one of those game-ghanging threads the WF is so famous for!

Thanks for starting such an interesting thread.

Isn't 'affiliate' a loose enough term to describe pretty much any commission-based lead generating or sales activity? How about Realtors? Selling real estate (or generating leads) has always paid well.

A bit OT but just to clear up any mystery, these things are not designed (as the name suggests) to survive explosions. They are explosion-proof in the respect that they are designed not to cause an explosion.

Explosion-proof equipment is very common in hazardous environments like mining where small sparks and such like can cause big problems. In the case of these refrigerators they are designed to safely store hazardous (i.e flammable) materials.

Four grand a pop though. What would be the Amazon commission on that?

Luxury watches (eg. Ashford.com). The commission is only 6% in this particular case but some brands sell for $30k and up. It's on my to-do list.

Other than that, I'm sure you can find similar stuff (on Amazon even, beware of caps though). Or you can sell expensive stuff from dropshippers, though it's not quite affiliate business anymore.

    Jason,

There are a TON of $300+ affiliate programs out there. Some that come to mind -- Mass Control (obviously), PPC Bully, etc. PPC Bully for instance pays out 700+ on the front end sale. They will open it back up when it goes back on sale (http://ppcbully.com/vip). I have lists of these high dollar affiliate programs.

I agree, promoting high dollar affiliate programs requires the same effort as promoting a $5 product. I would give any of the high dollar affiliate programs a go due to their extensive affiliate tools and support for the product.

    Hey Jason,

First off, Cool Contest. I couldn't agree more with your point that promoting higher end products are just as much effort as smaller ones, but provide much great profits.

That said, my contest entry is:

The famous Yanik Silver's affiliate program. It can conveniently be used to promote all of his products under one program.

Some of these are high ticket items, such as his copy writing system (which is supposed to be amazing btw) can yield $350-$700 commissions. Many also have great upsells, second tiers, and residuals.

You can sign up for his program here. Surefire Marketing, Inc. (non-aff)

I think it is worth trying for several reasons:

-Yanik obviously has made a big name for himself in the IM world, and him and his programs are most likely not going anywhere anytime soon. So you can at least join with the confidence that you are not going to be left building promotion sites for fly by the night programs.

-As I mentioned, this one program covers all of his many products, so you can try several without having to juggle severl programs.

-The Copy Writing niche (his best big ticket item) definitely qualifies as an evergreen niche.

    All the best,

    Rebtl

Clayton Makepeace's the Total Package has several products from a few hundred to 4 figures so you're not just limited to the high ticket item. You can target different products to different segments of your list.

His products are also evergreen so you haven't got to rush to promote in the launch window.

He brings out new products regularly, usually with top marketers contributing.

      Sounds good, huh?

The only drawback - he is revamping his affiliate site

Perhaps this doesn't qualify, but I promote an IM membership site. It pays 50% commission on everything, apart from 100% on the $1 trial.

It has a 14 day $1 trial and then $97 per month thereafter. After a prospect takes the $1 trial they are offered 3 OTOs. The first one costs $97, the second costs $47 and the third costs $497. On the thank you page there is also a $197 offer.

I've referred about 70 members and on average a customer that pays the first $97 installment stays for about 3 months. That means about a $150 per member value.

Plus, about 1 in 4 take at least one of the OTOS.

I reckon every member I refer is worth around $180 on average. Plus the page converts at around 6%.

Perhaps it's not the $300 payout required, but the visitor value is plenty for me.

PM me if you want a link to the programme.

Any market has buyers, if it doesn't you shouldn't be in it. With that said, there's no difference in how you target any particular market. If you target the market that buys low ticket items, you will sell low ticket items. If you target the market that buys high ticket items, they will buy high ticket items.

I haven't found any correlation of easiness to sell with price either. When I completely sucked at selling, I couldn't convert a $1 email submit offer. When I've learned to sell, I convert $2k items as easy as $20 items (not to say it comes very easy to me!). It's all down to your ability to target the right market and sell, but it doesn't depend on price.

I mean, an item costs what it costs. It's not like you're selling stuff for $2k when the same stuff costs $20 elsewhere. Most buyers know what they are looking for and know how much it costs before they even see your offer. It doesn't come as a surprise to them. So all it takes is to apply the same methods to create your offer, the fundamentals are the same everywhere.

I'm not talking for Jason or nothing, and he probably has a much more extensive reasoning. But here's my take on it...

A few months ago I remember seeing a video from MC 2.0, Frank Kern talked about selling stuff.

I don't remember it too well now, so don't quote me on this. But he said there's only 3 reasons people don't buy 1) people don't got no money 2) they don't have the desire or 3) they don't trust you.

      Something like that anyway...

Anyway the point he was trying to make, I think, was that if your in a market where people are spending a lot of dough(forex etc) than they all can afford to buy that $1000 product. For most of them $1000 isn't a big deal, the only reason they aren't buying from you is because they 1) don't trust you or 2) you aren't giving them the desire.

I'm sure J-Mo has some crazy ninja persuasion techniques he's teaching the RFM students so that's why he wants the high end products for them to promote, cause he knows if you create the desire/trust than you'll have many sales year round no matter what the commission is.

Thus why 4 figure commissions are really as easy as 2 figure ones.

Anyway I could be way off, but too me it makes sense.

      Zach

P.S- Another point here: 'free' trials are the shit now. Everyone is giving away a free trial for every product. That's because 'they' know that if someone will even pull out their credit card and pay 1 dollar they will probably pay 97 dollars, IF you create that desire for them.

    OK MO....I don't need the "DO"....but here's Vinnie's spin....

HERE'S HOW I CREATE AFFILATE DEALS THAT PAY 1K....5K....AND UP...ON A STREET LEVEL....no computer required.

    Example....

You can walk into any Mercedes dealer in America...pin down the power broker....and tell him or her... you have a list of buyers/clients up the ass.....who live in Japan, have a ton of cash, and are ready to spend some bling on a Mercedes next time they hit the states to buy one of Donald Trump's buildings etc.

From there you basically ask the owner..... why HIS dealership is the best place to send YOUR clients!

AT THIS POINT....MR MERCEDES DEALER..... STARTS PITCHING YOU....AS TO WHY YOU JASON MO...NEED TO SEND YOUR PEEPS TO HIM... AND NOT THE DUDE ACROSS THE STREET!

By the time you walk out of his office....you have a LOCKED IN price for any Mercedes in the joint...along with a side deal that pays you......a 3K commish on every buyer you send...that drives out with a new Benz etc. Neat.

You can work this approach with any high ticket item you have an interest in....or a list for.

And it works the same way every time...regardless of whether it's a Mercedes dealer or a diamond broker.

    You're a high ticket sellers...wet dream....because you have something he needs...buyers.

And for that alone...he's willing to kick you down what he probably considers chump change.....except the "change" is often very friggin good! Always better then $300!

Believe me.....it's more effective then hustling some Affiliate program.....where high commissions aint really that high in comparison to this approach.

The commission is 50% of $497 - which for me will come in at the $300 mark! (Is NOT cheating LOL)

I have this package and it is absolutely brilliant!! Anyone wanting to run their own seminar, either in it's own right, or as a lead in to an upsell at the end (or both) - this package can't be passed up! You get everything you need and more with this package - Rachel has certainly done a great job!

If I had a quality product similar to Frank Kern's *Mass Control,*
I might even consider offering an Affiliate Program like this
    using Rapid Action Profit Software:

    Sale #1 Paid to Admin
Sale #2 Paid to You ($2000 paid INSTANTLY via PayPal.)
Sale #3 Paid to You ($2000 paid INSTANTLY via PayPal.)
Sale #4 Paid to You ($2000 paid INSTANTLY via PayPal.)
    Sale #5 Paid to Admin
Sale #6 Paid to You ($2000 paid INSTANTLY via PayPal.)
Sale#7 Paid to You ($2000 paid INSTANTLY via PayPal.)
Sale #8 Paid to You ($2000 paid INSTANTLY via PayPal.)
    Sale# 9 Paid to Admin

Consumers are happy because it's a quality Product.
Affiliates are happy because it's a quality Affiliate Program.

Okay, Rich Schefren's "Internet Business Growth System" comes immediately to mind.

You make $2000 on a $5000 price tag. Not too shabby. If you can drive traffic and presell well, even one sale a month will pay for a mortgage on a new house.

The Second Program that I know of actually has a two tier Affiliate program. So teaching those to do what you do will bring in some decent coin.

I am not part of this program, but those who I know who are make six figures from it alone.

The program is Wealth Masters International. I understand there is some controversy over it, but I reserve my judgment for now.

WMI is a Debt Control / Legal Business Creation / Wealth and Investment Management course,

The cool thing about this affiliate program is that it has a funnel of products, not just one.

The price points are $2000, $8995, and $12,995.

For the $2000 product, you make $1000 from your own sales and $400 from those affiliates under you.

The 2nd and 3rd products are live workshop seminars on wealth generation / investment.

I could go on, but i'm sure those interested can check them out online.

Wealth Masters International (not an affiliate link)

pm me if you want more info. I can hook you up with one of my friends.

      Cameron

p.s. anybody else know of an affiliate program for a funnel of closely related products?

        Hey Jason, fellow warriors...

This is turning into a really great resource.

Here's another affiliate program to add to the mix.

Early to Rise is a daily e-newsletter published by Michael Masterson and Agora Publishing.

Agora publishes everything from investment newsletters to health newsletters to 'how to make money on the internet' newsletters....

And they also offer multi-day seminars and training courses.

Retail prices for their products range from $24.95 for an anti-aging eBook to $4,997 for a 5-day internet business seminar, with all kinds of products priced in between. Several of them pay out hundreds of dollars in commissions...

You can make as much as $1,249.25 on each sale!

Their affiliate program pays 25% on everything. And there's also a second tier that will give you 2% of the sales from affiliates you refer.

        Check it out at:
        www(dot)JohnCumbow(dot)com/Recommends/ETR/

(Sorry for the 'dot' crap, I haven't made enough posts to the forum yet to put in a real link)

I think it's pretty clear who the winner is.

Thank you so much Valerie. I've dug around a bunch and I know it's not exactly super easy to find all these programs. I'll send you a PM to get your Paypal address, or I'll ship you $100 worth of pennies in a Piggy Bank.

Thank you to all the other Warriors who chipped in as well. I hope we can continue to build the list for all of us to reference.

              A word of caution though...

Just because an affiliate program pays $300 to $5000 shouldn't be the sole reason you promote the product or service. I'm sure most of you know this and have some sort of morals about what you do or don't promote.

I mention this because I don't want people to get the impression that I'll promote anything that pays a hefty commission. There are things in this thread that I'd never promote. However, I think it's worthwhile information to know everything that is out there, and what the opportunities are.

        Hi BrianJaso,

        1. What is the difference between Affiliate Marketing Vs selling commercial products like electronics, then having the actual company drop ship the product for me?
When you drop ship, you make a deal with the buyer to provide the product. Sometimes they don't even realise there's a 3rd party involved (although there are complicated legal issues with drop-shipping - too much to elaborate on here) - so they just assume you are a normal seller.

When you sell as an affiliate, quite often you simply drop a cookie on their PC on their way to buy the product. In this scenario, you (the affiliate) are not the seller, and sometimes the buyer doesn't know that you (the 3rd party) are involved.

Totally different scenario. In the first example (drop ship) if the drop shipper fails to deliver, the customer is coming after you. They paid you.

In the other example they pay the seller, then he pays you after the refund period expires.

        .............

Can't help you with the other question except that I learnt from a combination of -

        a) buying training products

        b) finding free info (Eg this forum)

        c) researching existing business

        d) trial and error

I don't know if I'm too late to join this contest or not, but some people might like to know about this regardless....

The 'product' is to team up with Reed Floren and do a giveaway event. He takes care of setting everything up and guarantees you a list of at least 3,000 when the giveaway ends (if you figure a dollar a name that's a minimum of a $3k per month paycheck).

To team up with Reed and have him set this all up with you and use his contacts to promote the event it costs $5,000. And at a 50% commission rate - that means you earn $2500

Here's the link (no aff. link) to the main site:

AffiliateMarketing sounds like a great way to start a "business" online and from everyone's ideas, it sounds like it's pretty profitable. I don't want to be rude and ask how much any of you make doing affiliate marketing, but can I get some feedback with very realistic (money) possibilites when starting out. And also an average monthly income from doing this?
