3. Send your article out in a blast email or newsletter to your contacts.

4. Add a link into your email signature inviting people to read your latest blog post. Think about how many people you email on a daily basis, new and old. This simple practice reminds them you have a blog, and may intrigue them enough to click the link.

5. Send your blog post to relevant people/organizations/blogs that would be interested in reading it and sharing it with their networks.

It's not unique at all. It's a commonly used tactic to tap into someone elses audience.

Once you've featured / linked to them you have to let them know about it.

I find using Twitter works best as they can quickly re-tweet it.

If no reply on Twitter send out an email telling them they've been featured.

I regularly do this to get people with big followings to send me traffic.

Bottom line is that if you are not writing top quality content which users want to read, want to share you can't get backlinks & traffic for your site. Find top influencers of your niche study them & find some interesting ideas for your next article.

Hey Rashad

My question is how are you doing with your keyword research? Because that is where it all starts.

A lot of the time, the keywords are the main reason as to why blogs aren't getting much traffic.

It sounds like you are consistent with your blogging which is definitely a plus. But you also need to make sure you are performing proper on page and off page SEO.

To increase the traffic for your blog I will suggest you to do some good things
Read below-

1- Post quality and informative articles ragularly (Articles hsould be based on your keyword research. Know what people are searching and write about it) Post 2-3 articles per week for agrressive traffic.

It's as simple as being where your target audience is online and getting your content and ads in front of them.

Your content has to good however or no one will care.

And don't forget to network like crazy with other influencers in your niche. Email them, chat with them, do cool shit for them, share their content, link to them, feature them in "expert" round ups etc.

I will add one more : use free classified ads, such as shown here in this list, as well as paid classified ads offline.

Ok, I lied, here is 1 more : use http://ifttt.com/ (free) and connect your RSS feed from your blog to your Tumblr, Facebook, Twitter, Reddit, Diigo, and other social accounts to get traffic, backlinks and more overall online exposure each time you post something new on your blog.

Write fresh and unique contents which will make a reason for your visitors to visit your site first. Increase your blog readership is a vital point of promoting a blog. The more rich content your write, the more readers will you get and you will also get some natural backlinks. Increase your social media influence, engage with your audience look for what they want from you. Make your site SEO friendly, don't over optimize your site.

Here are a couple of things I would recommend:

1. Interlink your blog to other web 2.0 websites. (Diversify with do-follow and no-follow links)

2. Create a YouTube channel about the information on your blog.

3. Guest blog post work fine as long as you manually post them.

Always add high quality content daily if possible and make sure each article is over
500 words per post.

Just two months? How competitive are your KWs? If you've been "trying" correctly, just 2 months is too small a window even for low competition KWs. Read Google updates and see what's in and what's out. Don't stick to the same old procedures and expect to rank your site.

What have you done so far to gain traffic? Did it work but die down or (What is the pattern over the 2 months since launching).

Keep in mind the basics: friendly URLs, proper use of tags etc coupled with regular unique blog content and you should find your audience increases as you push more and more content.

1. SEO is the best option
2. Find low competition keywords that you can easily rank for. For this, you can use Google keyword tool. Try to find keywords that have few amount of pages when you search for it and some traffic +/- 1k per month.
3. Build pages around the keywords you found. Put your keywords in your meta title; url extension; and few in the content you write (keep it natural).
4. Get backlinks from high quality websites, such as: Facebook, Twitter, Tumbler, Forums related to your niche, etc.

If you're competing for a low competition keyword it won't take long for your page to rank well and start receiving some traffic. Also, notice that every single page in your website can rank for a different keyword. Therefore, the more pages you have, more traffic you'll receive.

I think organic and paid traffic are marriage made in heaven but if you've got cash - just pay for targeted traffic.
