Those are great questions Tony! You are the first to reply so I see no reason why they shouldn't all get answered. I have about 7 interviews lined up with a very broad range of people. From a guy that's fairly new but making a few thousand a month to a couple men/women making more in a month than most do in a year!

You read about people that want to help new marketers succeed but these people actually reply and care about people.

Keep em coming people....I'm working on getting this stuff set-up asap...I've got a new baby due any day now and want to get my ducks in a row before the little bundle arrives.

  I've been a member of a mastermind program that worked very well for me. Calls were held live at a certain day and time each month and questions were taken over the phone and by e-mail. The calls were recorded and once the recording was ready (just a couple of days later), the MP3's were uploaded.
  
  I think this is a great solution. For those who CAN make the call, it gives them a chance to get their specific questions answered. For those who can't make the call, they will still get access to the information.
  
  It seems to me that it doesn't have to be an either/or situation. Give people a choice and you'll get the information to more people.

  -Is there any sort of standardized analysis that you put your new product ideas through before committing significant resources (money or time) to that project? What sort of criteria do you use to gauge whether or not an idea is worth developing?
  
  -A related question, what percentage of your ideas would you say actually make it all the way through to profitability?
  
  So, Mike, I'll bite- is there some sort of opt-in form we can sign up on to be updated when these interviews come out?

  Kidding aside, great stuff sumbitted so far.

  I can answer this one honestly...
  
  In the beginning I got lucky and stumbled onto something and took action. I made my first $1,000 within the first day of my very first product...
  
  What's even more important is the action part... Seeing an idea through to the end. They say 'money follows speed' and I couldn't agree more. It's amazingly easy to make money online but there is a lot of 'noise' you need to cut through.
  
  For the most part, people just starting out need a confirmation that they are on the right track. in the back of their mind they are thinking 'am I wasting my time?; will this actually work?'

  Something I'd like is to get the interviews transcribed. I usually like reading things rather than audio since I don't always have access to audio. Plus, my brain works like a google spyder bot so I pick up on things that way. Reading is good for me.

  I would love to learn the basics of how to set up a sales page and how to deliver product after someone pays. Do I need to know html? Do I get a template? I have no idea....
  
  Also, I keep hearing about sticking with it, don't give up, etc. I think that is great advice, but how do you know when you have an idea that simply will not work and you need to move on? Or how do you learn how to tweak an idea from being a money pit to a money maker?:confused: (Just because I love decoupage doesn't mean I can make good money for it, KWIM?)
  
  Another question: Do you outsource from the beginning, or do you start off doing most of the work yourself and then outsourcing later?
  
  Number 4: What are ways to get residual income from your IM efforts?

Good questions everyone...I look forward to kicking this off and the idea is snowballing a bit. That's ok as the idea is to cut the crap and share the goods with as many people as possible.

Mike Hill, yep....I'm Ontario born and raised. I would love to attend one of the meetups.

We just had a brand new baby Friday so I might not be out for a while until we get things adjusted according to little miss, but I'm interested for sure.

It also seems like you might be a great person to interview....watch for a pm :-)

Alright folks, I'm about to start the first interview with Craig Beckta of "The Secret Affiliate Code".

Craig went from being a washed up rock star, playing for next to nothing (been there, done that), to a poor, lowly minimum wage Warehouse Worker making minimum Wage (oddly, I also spent my time at a warehouse gig), to being the World's Worst Insurance Salesman.

BUT he went from being $10,391.00 In Debt To Earning 6 Figures In A Year and he did it....online!

I'll be talking to him in about 10 minutes and will be recording the call for you to download later.

  Tony, let me turn the tables for a sec...what is this worth to you? I don't say this to be a smart ass. I'm not looking to make a killing on this info.
  
  I'm being VERY honest when I say that I REALLY want to see people that have had little or no success online actually get into it and makes some profits.
  
  My number one goal is to collect good, solid information.
  Number two is to assist other in putting that info into practice and getting moving.
  
  I've gone to considerable time and effort to track, question, befriend and hound these guys to give up their time. I've bought products, I've done reviews, I've helped their customers and THAT is why they are willing to share with me so I can share with you.
  
  I'm learning too so I'm not sure how all of this will be delivered, but I want people on board to take the learnings and apply them. If the stuff doesn't work for you, we'll find out WHY NOT. The key is to get it started and get it perfect later.

Hi Tony - I'm thinking that with folks like Big Mike giving interviews, whatever he says you can take to the bank. I have tried it my way and I have tried it his way and no surprise...LOL he wins.

I think the intent Mike Murphy has is to get these guys to tell it like it is. He hope to get from his interviews what many of us can't as we cannot talk direct so he is going ask serious questions on behalf of everyone and of course himself. Aside from making babies, Mike wants to know how to do this IM business right... He wants to do the right things right.

I don't begrudge him a little profit on this as he is putting in a lot of time and energy. If the info is not worth the price he charges he will soon hear about it on this forum so you know he will do it right.

Maybe a few sample clips or sound bites might be offered or maybe his guests will be able to kick in something to seed our efforts.

Looking forward to this.

Karen my heart goes out to you because I have been there and am still a newbie. Keep plugging on, you will find it. My latest web site seems to be working. I am getting the information I need to work on my web site. It is low cost.

I would like to know if there is any one person, a CEO if you will of the Internet? Is there any person that you can go to and ask advice? Not a top salesperson, but someone with a heart that you would vote for in an election for president of the Internet

Well if I had to vote for a CEO of the Internet it would be Big Mike! He not only talks the talk, he walks the walk and although he won't admit it, he has a huge heart and soft spot for helping people.

But.. he is a former marine so if he helps you it is like boot camp baby. You do it or else. Pick up his Warrior Manifesto because it is free and a good read and then find threads he is posting to. You can learn a lot.

Tony, the baby is awesome and thank you very much for asking! She is a very good girl and sleeps about 4 hours per night already which is about all I get some nights anyway!

Wouldn't trade this time of life for anything....although there are poopy/cranky/frustrating times :-)

I've got two beautiful little reasons to put everything I can into IM and intend to teach these little princesses that THEY control their futures and not everything they need to know is taught in a school.

By the way, the intent of my upcoming site is to bring people together much like this one does but to develop teams maybe and to monitor progrss and assistance.

Sid has been a HUGE help to me and is a great friend. Big Mike has also helped a ton and although I don't him as well as Sid, he too has a heart of gold and I look very forward to speaking with him.

That's the funny thing about all of this...it can be VERY hard to get someone to speak to you and give up their time. I've had tons of "no's", non replies, sorry I'm too busy, what's in it for me? etc. and I forge on because I really REALLY love to help and cannot wait to build a nice community of folks just like you guys.

The Beckta call got postponed until tomorrow but we did chat on a personal level today and included some stuff about his business and mine. All I can say so far is WOW....some of the stuff he has done really is inspiring.

Hi Mike,

I have some ideas which I got from Mark Joyner's book.

You can charge two editions: downloads and a GOLD copy which comes with a real physical disc and the transcripts.
