Digital Marketing Agency!

Hey All

Any pointers on how to make a new digital marketing agency successful?

We are working on dabbling into Mobile advertising, Google, Bing, Yahoo, and SMS marketing. What else can we do and how?

Any pointers would be extremely helpful.

Regards

After a while, it gets tough to scale a service based digital business. So keep a eye on developing a product too.

Sorry I have no idea as I don't really understand it well. PPC etc is something I have never done as I think you need a far bigger budget than I have to justify it. But good luck.

You need to go the old fashioned networking route. Meet people, tell them what you do, get business cards and coffee close. You need to be reputable. People will not do business with an unknown unless it's a family or friend. So you need credibility with strangers. My 2 Cents.

I would focus on making a name for yourself with just one thing first.

Master it, systemize it, get happy customers/testimonials with it (even if you have to give it away the first few times...)

Then, once you have it down, think about expanding from it to other related offerings.

If you try to do more than one thing from a place of nothing, you will likely fail at all of them.

      I agree with Jack.

Rather than "dabbling" (as you call it) in an ever-widening pool of marketing influence, I would suggest you do just the opposite . . .

Focus like a laser on just one thing and no longer dabble. Work your butt off to become an expert and authority in whatever it is you do. There will always be time to expand later - after you have mastered the one thing you do better than anyone else.

Broadening your market while dabbling is the blueprint to quick failure.

I wish you the best in your new agency,

      Steve

I would say you're at a pretty solid list of items that are in demand.
Focus on becoming the best in those areas and making yourself known locally.

From there, you can branch into other areas but you don't want to bite off more than you can chew.
