1,2,3 Steps to make money from twitter

I've been trying to monitize twitter for about a month now..

This is what I learned:

Method #1 - Promoting Clickbank Products

1. You can place clickbank links to you tweets but conversion will be small
2. The best way to have higher conversion is still to PROVIDE QUALITY CONTENT either via squidoo pages or your blogs then link to the products you promote.

Example-Give free tutorial on how to gain more followers:

"You can increase twitter followers by following people manually and wait for them to follow you back. Do this for several days and you will have up to 500 new followers in a week. As for me I'm usually lazy so I use <NAME OF PRODUCT WITH LINK>. It's follows on autopilot, I just set it up for several minutes and whala! about 1000 new followers every two days.."

Guess what? Some people are lazy too and will end up clicking your aff link.

Method #2 - Promoting CPA Etc.

1. Sign-up in some programs (Like cashcrate, etc.)
2. Create a squidoo lens - discussing the value of the program. Include there your links.
ex. How To Make Quick Fast Cash Online
3. Tweet about your lens. If you get sign-ups you earn!

Method #3 - Passive Income Using RevTwt, magpie, etc.

1. Sign-up to revtwt.com
2. enroll your twitter accounts in their site.
3. Define if you want them to automatically send tweets (most is two per day)

After doing that, they will automatically send the maximum of two tweets per day to your twitter account. You'll only earn a few centavos a day but that is without doing anything.

You can do what you like to do best, like sending quality tweets knowing that in the background there's a passive income (even though very small) accumulating for you.

I won't make permutations on this method..but you could always leverage this

If you have a twitter account that's sleeping why not enroll in some ad program. That way you won't be "leaving money in the table". In these times even a few cents count.

All good, but I prefer using Twitter as a communication tool only and build a following of people who would be interested to know what I have to speak. Without tweeting affiliate links, if one has 'targeted followership', people will go to one's profile and click his homepage URL. I prefer that kind of targeted traffic.

Maybe this works well, but it's not for me.

P.S. - Also, those 1000 new followers every 5 days programs don't build anything but a network of marketers looking to leverage off each other's pockets. That way, one doesn't have 'real' followership.

I haven't had much luck getting traffic from my twitter account, I think I might give this method a try and see how things turn out, thanks for the info

As Gambit said try not to use the get twitter follower programs. The best way to get a solid following group. Is simply follow the hot trends. Talk about it oh ad you could still use click bank while doing this. What has been the hot topic these days the iPhone. Do a search in clickbank market for iPhone right at the top there is one about making money fom building aps for the iPhone. You already know you are targeting the right crowed why not use this to your advantage. I did this and in 2 days time I gained over 200 followers just for the iPhone app product. Also if you want to keep it simple drive them to your blog first. If they like what they see they may just well go back into twitter and say something along the lines I just read an awsome article here. I also recommend getting this months time mag or going to there website and reading about what they had to say about just this.

Simply put twitter has become a haven for marketers large and small. Even though twitter does not have do follow it is still one of the most powerful tools on the internet to use to promote anything. It not only brings in solid traffic to new websites making it easier for them to get a push start in the right direction. The largecorperations are using twitter to start hot trends about a new product or service they will be offering.

Anyone actually making money with Twitter and say Magpie?

It just seems too easy.

Step 1: Buy 1000-5000 followers. If you don't know where just ask me.
Step 2: Sign up with magpie.
Step 3: Tweet all day or out source your tweeting.

But it all hinges on how much Magpie or revtwt pay.

One of the best ways I've monetized using Twitter is simple interaction. It's free, and extremely beneficial. I've found if I reply to tweets with personable messages, word of mouth will kick in, and it has.

I also focus on quality content- and the ever basic, but often forgotten spell-checking.

Im in the process of building my Twitter following. Right now I have 330 followers and growing daily. So, Im hoping to be over 1000 next week. I know that is not really that many but hey, if I post quality content and jokes...the followers will come and every once in a while squeeze in a tweet about my blog...I might just get some quality traffic. But, from what I have seen right now...only about 2% of my followers actually click my links.

What if twitter had a way to collect emails as well... from everyone who ever followed you? ...without having to build a squeeze page? LOL

But yeh, you could also be tapping into that traffic with opt ins! and then send out emails, and earn an income from that as well.
