VPS or DV Server - Which is Better To Handle Paid Traffic?

I'm wondering if a VPS or Dedicated Virtual server is better for handling paid traffic? I'm currently on the lowest DV package @ mediatemple.

Would you guys recommend I switch over to a VPS? and if so what are the main advantages

it depends on the features. there are two most important parts to handle the traffic and resource hog sites.

go for vps or dedicated solution which ever has more memory/ram and better cpu. have a comparison of ram , cpu and cost for better picture. a basic VPS with 2 gb ram can handle 100-3000 visits a day depending upon your code quality.

Generally dedicated is always going to cost more because it can handle a lot more traffic.

How much paid traffic are you bringing per month? I use Liquid Web for my vps host with no issue. It's fully managed and their service is excellent. Plus its a great price.
