23 Ways to Kill Your Home (Internet) Business

Dear Warriors,

I know that all of us have the intention to work from home or traveling. But, apparently not all of us earn $10,000+/mo on autopilot.

Would you share your top "home-business-dream-killers"?

Here's a list I've come up with during the years. I've passed through most of those killers. What do you think? Are you agree? Could you add new ones?

Here's my killers' list:
  • You have a wrong mindset and/or weak motivation.
  • You don't have a proper vision.
  • Maybe you didn't set your goals the best possible way.
  • Your strategy to achieve these goals is not very good.
  • You don't use an effective Getting-Things-Done system.
  • You fail to plan and set tasks.
  • You procrastinate.
  • You don't have enough persistence.
  • You are too slow.
  • You are not focused enough.
  • Your brand is weak.
  • You are trying to start big with lack of resources.
  • You are thinking small when you can think big.
  • You miss opportunities that knock to your door.
  • You are not leveraging the online tools for success.
  • You are not leveraging the offline tools for success.
  • You fail to network and to work with powerful partners.
  • You don't have a good team.
  • You are not flexible enough.
  • You are not testing and optimizing enough.
  • You are not maximizing your profit in all possible ways.
  • You are not ready to expand and scale your business.
  • You don't have an exit strategy.
Thanks for the feedback!

Good luck!
Bill

24.) You make all the plans in the world, but you never take any ACTION.

Sure, a lot of ebooks suck, but chances are the best one can fall out of the sky and most people will never do a damn thing even then...

@moneysoapbox: Yes, you are right. Planning is a necessary part of the process, but if you don't take action, nothing happens. Procrastination is the silent killer of all dreams.

Very good list Bill! There's a good list from Napoleon Hill on my Nuclear Success site (link in my sig) which are the the excuses people use to explain their failures.

It takes a lot for someone to realize that it's their own mindset and habits that keep them to where they are today.

Giving Paul Myers your last $600,000.00 and having him and Bev run up a monster bar tab with your hard earned money.

      j/k

How about the pulling the trigger because somebody told you to "Just Do It' so you start off down the wrong path and waste precious time and money.

You can't just 'Do It', 'do it' is not a sensible action plan.

As a fairly new newbie- I will say, not finding the right system that works for you.

Maybe I'm different, I actually do read the forums and I have purchased programs and subscribed to lists. I have taken action on several different concepts but true success eludes me.

I created 17 autoblogs and made a whopping $9.48 from adsense. These autoblogs were monetized with adsense, CJ,CB,Amazon and Konterra. Absolutely no clicks, other than adsense.

I sold them all 1 week ago for $180.00- Woot! I finally made money online!

But now what- in my spare time I write articles and direct people to several squidoo lenses. Nope-no clicks and now Squidoo is going to crack down.

So -I've moved onto designing or setting up blogs for people ie-the offline niche.Just started promoting my new site yesterday and am looking for more ways to drive traffic.A website in its infancy-only time will tell.

Before all this-I was luckily picked to join a membership site that was supposed to teach how to set up a wp blog and monetise with EPN-well the owner got hurt in Iraq and now the members of that program have no direction. I was not going to sit and wait-I moved on to try and "take action" elsewhere.

But-I'm not here to whine- I just want some people to see that not all newbies are the same. Some are quietly behind the scenes "taking action without much success."
