What is your favorite whiteboard animation software?
I think I should make one for my CPA site and I don't know which one to choose from.

      I've been looking to replace the hand script video on my website with a cartoon video for sometime.

      Now I can get it done and tweak it the way I want without having to do the cha-cha-cha (back&forth) with an outsourcer.

        You can not only try out Video Scribe free for a week : there is a free App for the Iphone, with the Sparkol software. Even better there is a fully functional 6 $ App for the Ipad, which gives you more space to work on. Good way to try it out. And Android is there too now.
        My opninion : Sparkol looks much better than Videomaker FX , much more finesse, less stiff, less robotic (sorry Paul.......

    One of the drawbacks of using Easy Sketch Pro is the option of getting highly quality images to use. Though they have a vast database to use from, if I want something custom made, I would have to invest time and money to get a relevant file type made just to use in the software. I suppose this is the case with most of these s/w but this is the one I have had experience in. Either ways, it is fun to use.

      SVG files are optimal for whiteboard but jpg and other formats work well too. I've used ESP and couldn't tell the difference between SVG files an most jpgs. Easy Sketch Pro has a decent collection of images but I wouldn't call it vast by any stretch. Getting images for whiteboard animation is part of the game and none of the people offering whiteboard programs have everything you'll need.

      And I do agree. Whiteboard video is fun to create.

    easySketch Pro...has a better price point than Videoscribe as far as I recall. Appears to be well set up.

    I make use of Video Maker FX and Easy Sketch Pro. You can make use of either of them. Check out the reviews before you make the purchase.

    I bought the Video maker first but due to the limitation of the software when it comes to the white board aspect, I then included the Easy Sketch Pro in my video making arsenal and this does the white board scribing too.

    Apart from Videomaker FX's ability to create white board animations, It has a wide array of templates and functionality to create other types of videos including that of local businesses.

    However, due to the fact that I was making a lot of white board animated videos, it got to a point that I became bored with just that type of videos. I was able to overcome that with the ranges of template that the Video Maker Fx has. I then started making a blend of different videos to make my channel more interesting and it sure paid off.

      I have just created my first Easy Sketch Pro video and the whole process took me 3 hours. You can check it out here
      I found it difficult to understand how to move the canvas and resorted to reading the manual (which told me everything I needed to know!). I think the next video will take me 1/2 as long - so probably an hour for a 1 minute video.

      I don;t know how long it would have taken with the other programs on this thread but I am happy with Easy Sketch Pro and have just bought a massive bundle of images to go with it.

        This is not whiteboard animation either.

        This is more like what I think of when i want a whiteboard animation video:


        See how everything is hand-drawn in sped-up time? That to me is a whiteboard video. The others shown in this thread don't seem to be real whiteboard videos.

    I hope no one minds me saying this but: all those whiteboard videos are TERRIBLE

    Seriously, take the effort to learn how to use After Effects on a simple level and how to modify Videohive templates and you can make things that are so MUCH better

      I agree that Sparkol is the only one I've used that I thought was any good.

      Learning After Effects is no easy feat... That's a ton of work. It's taken me 4 years to really get Photoshop down.

    In my opinion those entry level animation software are great but they don't communicate your brand's voice like a personalized video would. A real video explains the "why" to your clients and makes them care about your work. Another point worth noting is that explainer videos were interesting a while back but now they all look the same so my guess is that people are bored with the first 3 seconds and just opt out.

    This is just my 2cents of course.

    I would recommend EASY SKETCH PRO. I made a video using it and it made me quite a bit of money so far selling one of my info products.

    BUT if I had to recommend you getting something, I would say go to Fiverr and pay someone to create you one because it takes a TON of time, a lot more than I'm willing to put into it again.

    I paid someone on Fiverr around $25 for one and it turned out 1000X better than anyone I could of done in the same amount of time.

    I like EasySketchPro because unlike VideoScribe there is no recurring fee...
    However the recently-released Explaindio looks like a good one as well (one-time fee).
