eBay Question about Shipping

I have a listing that just ended and even though I listed shipping as domestic, someone from Hong Kong bought the item anyway. Can I still use eBay's Global Shipping program and just send it to one of their domestic centers? I sure don't want to have to pay for international shipping because someone didn't read my listing. Thanks.

    If you have the Global Shipping Program enabled, then use it. If you don't then contact they buyer and tell them that your listing was domestic only and give them a refund.

    Instead of asking here I would suggest contacting eBay's customer service direct - they have always been responsive, quickly for me when I had a question.

    Ebay has been pushing their global shipping program and in fact I have seen their software (turbolister) defaulting to accepting global bids even though I do not accept them. I have to manually change it with each listing.

    I also set my preferences to only accept bids from the USA.

    If you have it stated in your listing that you only ship domestically I think you might have a case to cancel the sale without any possible recourse but again because they (ebay) are now pushing this new profit center that may have changed - best bet is to go thru their little automated question and answer system and click that you did not find an answer then ask for someone to call you.

    Thanks, both of you. I've gone through their q and a, and it says to contact the buyer and tell them about the shipping problem. It says from there I have two choices: I can get them to agree to cancel the transaction, or they can pay me the extra shipping and then I'll ship the item. I gave them both choices, so now I'll just wait and see what they do. I hate this kind of stuff with eBay, and I'm glad I didn't decide to get into it as a career!
