I need help from fellow Warriors with a technical issue. I practice direct response marketing online and offline. I need your help in overcoming an obstacle. I have successfully built a list. But in this market, the leads are resistant to using a computer. Result: my e-mail sequences go unopened and my message (and offer) are not seen. So . . . how do I get my message to the market? The market is proven. They spend. They convert. I just need to get my message and my offer to the leads. Everyone in the market has a cell phone and loves to use the cell phone. Most have text messaging while a much smaller number has web-enabled cell phones. Here's where I need your help. How can I post my blog and/or rss feed to cell phones? If I can do this automatically, I can either send the blog posts directly to the cell phone, or I can send an rss or text message with a phone number or url where the post is published. Any suggestions you can share would be appreciated. Thanks! |

Join Twitter if your not already. It's free. Try to get them to follow you on your Twitter. Encourage them to setup their cell phone for instant messages via phone here: Twit your blog posts. |

...but note that Twitter are excluding some countries from SMS updates due to the cost. Britain and Australia to name but two. Regards Neil |

Update!!!! Here's what I know so far..... Reposting MOOMAL "Pingie and Yahoo Alerts will both convert RSS feeds to SMS, but the user is the one who is supposed to use these services. Rasasa will deliver to IM/SMS/email, but it's in the hands of the user. Broadtexter will let you put an opt-in box on your site and send text messages to customers that subscribe, but it's an SMS autoresponder. And finally.... Feedm8. They offer various tools for mobile websites, but it looks like one of them is the option to provide RSS updates via SMS." |

Ha! Earlier this year I was going to create a service that converted RSS to SMS. I even bought a domain name for it. Then I wondered if anyone would use it and shelved the plan. I'd love to know why people want to do this. Is there a big market for this? Cheers, Neil |

| I don't know about the size of the market for the end-users of the tool you described. If you are talking about the size of the market that can be reached via the tool, however, then it is gigantic. Millions in the U.S. and many millions in countries where internet usage is not yet mainstream, but where cell phone usage is already mainstream.

I've used PhoneFeeds to create mobile-friendly feeds ... the only challenge then is getting the subscriber to notice and care. You can also try MoFuse if you want to do a full-on mobile-friendly reworking of your site. Frank |
