I know that Clickbank is flakey as heck...especially lately. I don't know if it's a combination of it's inherent flakiness or my paranoid mind but, this weekend I uncloaked a bunch of my affiliate links on a conduit site that I have and "nada"...none of those links that I had been getting hops from on a daily basis are getting clicked. I did this little test for the past couple of days to see if people would still click on them and if they did, would I get more sales since my sale to hop ratio was stinking like my dog's butt. It has just been weird the past couple of months...I was getting a sale or two every four days so I buckled down and did some articles and really did some work...added products etc and things started to pick up...a sale or two every couple of days then everything just went dead and nothing for three weeks. Still got hops every day but no sales. I use a "recommends" directory which makes the links look sweet but...I am I just being paranoid? Is it just the law of averages and I was getting a cluster of sales here and there? Is there anyone that doesn't cloak links that get hops and sales? I don't do any affiliate marketing for IM stuff because I figured that your average consumer isn't going to go to the trouble to research affiliate marketing when their primary concern in their life is zits or "that incurable itch that burns when they go wee-wee" or whatever. Does CB really put the whammy on cloaked links? I don't do anything like popunders or anything like that...just straight forward cloaked links. I am thinking that basically if I see the hops I should be good to go, correct? Any words of wisdom from the sages and gurus? |
